Unless you don't like crowds....thousands and thousands of people here...the beach is certainly big enough but there are many people. Lots of room! Lots of food! Wide area for walking or biking. There is every kind of transportation available here to rent! Take a day and do it! We happened to hit a market as it was getting set up... More

the beach is not very beautiful because it has a lot of constructions very close to the sand with high building of appartments but it is an historic point (taking into account it was the kings' beach and if someone misses the sea very frequently it is a good place to go. The beach has a good area of sand... More

Beautiful sandy beach with busy market stalls along the beachfront. Easy to park and access beach. Very enjoyable.

Stopped over at De Panne staying at the Ibis hotel in the town and was really surprised by the beach. There's approximately 60 miles of white sandy beach across this part of Belguim and they are really well maintained. Very high safety levels, very clean, access to clean and well maintained toilets, close to a children's play area (which is... More

De Panne beach always strikes me as more quiet and larger that most other Belgian seaside towns. Walking towards the left (when looking towards the sea) you can walk into France or turn before and walk into the nature reserve with beautiful dunes. And there won t ever be many people. The beach in the town center offers cafes, restaurants.... More

Very good and clean beach. There were a lot lifeguards present at the time of our visit. At the beach you have a closed playground that is Well worth the money.

Thanks to its large beach, De Panne is rather calm in summer, compared to other beaches in Belgium. There are not a lot of restaurants and tearooms, but most of them offer large beach terraces, where it's agreable to sit.
