We went there in September, during the
weekend. With temperaturrs below 20 degrees we did not expect it to be very crowded...but it was.
Nice, wide, long beach. Facilities ok, but could be better. However, if you're there for the sea, you won't be dissappointed.

We always used to come here when our children now in their 30s and 40s were small and we have just returned with them and our grandchildren. It has lost none of its charm and is a wonderful family beach with beautiful white sand. It has improved with the addition of a great pirate ship playground which the little ones loved.

Along the seaside of De Haan you'll find this lovely beach. The sand is perfect for playing or strolling. Plenty of restaurants along the promenade for refreshing and refilling. Beach looked very clean and well kept. It is fairly large and there is a big stretch of beach from the promenade to the beach. Plenty of rental agencies if you need to hire a beach chair for the stay.

Another trip down to the beach for the kids.
Nice open beach area, kids playground and pirate ship.

Soft sand on a large, clean beach, a sunny day, not too busy because it's September. A walk through the dunes where you can see out to where the ships and the windmills are. Perfect.

Not just a typical Belgian beach, for me, the best.
Long & wide with a safe promenade above for cyclists and those on scooters.
There are restaurants and bars, but not too many. The balance appears just about right.
Enjoy the waffles and ice cream and hope the weather is kind

We went here for nostalgia reasons but it was great. Just off the seaside by the carousel is a kids play ground and coffee shop in a square.
After that we went on the carousel where the guy clearly loved his job.
Then we rented a group bike from Cattrysse which the kids loved and (provided you have the strength!) you can peddle up the hill and coast along the wide path by the seaside. Lovely.

We visited the beach a couple of times during our trip to Belgium. Well laid out with water sports to the North. The sea is well guarded with Life guards every 100m and a rescue boat on station. There is a sand bank so the water is fairly shallow. Nice Touch when you come off the beach benches with brushes to take the sane of your feet. Also a promenade to have a stroll

This is probably one of the best beaches on the Belgium seaside and definitely the best in the area. A nice, clean, well-kept and frequented beach.

We went in the winter season. however, it is obvious that it is very active in summer season from beaches, hotels and entertainment venues. In winter, it's the dead city. Many shops were closed.

I am reading the reviews and need a clarification if Dogs are permitted on the this beach? Are there certain times when they can be allowed? Can they be walked along the Sea? What is the policy? We are taking a trip soon and are traveling with our Lady. Thank You for your advice!

We didn't take our dog, but I am pretty sure we saw other people with dogs there. It is all pretty relaxed there anyway.
