We came to this church on our way to that day's hotel accommodation. We really enjoyed seeing this church and going inside. This was well worth it. The place is not as grand or ornate as other churches in the country, but it is very nice

A turbulent mind ,anxiety, restless soul ?Look no further. The Sint Peter Church is juat then place for you. Stunning architecture ,many symbols to view and admire but mostly the serenity on a cold winter afternoon. You can sit on the benches outside and sat a prayer or even meditate as you overlook the square. It was just what I needed.

This church is very typical for it’s time, outside it’s a bit bland, inside magnificent.
Especially the place priests keep their cermons, which is completely wood carved, and not in use anymore, is bafflng. It depicts a fishermen’s scene.
To see in combination with the beguinage with the museum and the museum of cards.

We visited this church on Jul 23th. We parked our car on a parking lot (6€ for a day) in front of the National Playing Card Museum (Parking Muylenberg, Beekstraat). It is about 0,3 miles by foot from the church.
It is a nice church but not exceptional. The nicest piece is the pulpit.

Very beautiful church. In winter there is a magnificent Nativity scene with real animals (ox, donkey, sheep, chickens). The stable was donated to the city by Francois & Jacqueline Boone.

We came during their celebration of their restored organ and the concert was wonderful. A beautiful church adorned with wood carvings and well-worth a stop over.

Saint Peter is a big church in the centre of Turnhout. There is so many altars (small ones, too) and a lot of statues. The most eye-catcher is the big woodworking pulpit, it's very impressive. It's a must visit when you're in Turnhout.

Beautiful church on the market place, gothic/baroque style. Historic building tower dated from the 12th century, Beautifully sculpt wooden pulpit, organ dated 1662 representing Jesus and the apostles fishing on the lake of Galilee.

The church is located in the main square and it is quite big.
We could not visit it inside because it was closed.
Anyway from the outside you can admire the facade and the particular style.

Located right in the heart of the town this church, with parts going back to the 17th century is well worth a visit. The massive carved pulpit is unique, in my experience. There are some very pretty and ornate stained glass windows.
