A playing card museum? First you think that you would see a collection of playing cards but it's more to the detail. You begin with watching a short film about printing technique. Well, then you walk through printing presses, then you will get a demonstration...More

This is one of the highlights of Turnhout City. If you can book a guide (also English or French speaking if you make the reservation well in advance), the visit will be wonderful. The guides @ the Playing Card Museum are fantastic, with great knowledge...More

A small museum dedicated to playing cards; it is something different. Mostly about printing machines and a little bit around the history of playing cards. There's also a large steam engine which my son was allowed to set in motion and an interactive section. Very...More

This is a very nice museum to visit. If you have the right guide you will have an extraordanary tour. Lots of special things will be clarified and explained. If you stay in Turnhout, just a thing to do.

Very well presented, if you speak and read Dutch. Otherwise, there are leaflets available in other languages, but they offer too much detail. The video was good and the staff was very informative. He even turned on the steam engine for me. (I was the...More

During summer every Thursday former employees demonstrate how the machines were operated and explain the printing process. Still radiating their love for the trade and showing their craftmanship takes you back in time and into the future.
