Nice ski area
Mar 2020
I like this ski resort. It is not the newest ski resort in the Alps, but there are some long pistes. All pistes are very wide and every morning in good condition. When down in Bad Kleinkirchheim is no snow ski resort prepare nice piste white piste in green medows. Staff I met was all friendly.

Bad Kleinkirchheim downhill skiing

Overall experience is very possitive: very nice large skiing slopes and not so many people. We got 6 sunny days out of 7 (February 2020).

Slopes for all kind of skiers
Feb 2020
On the slopes of Bad Kleinkirchheim, you can find something for beginner and for the excellent skier. The ski resort is divided into 3 main parts, which are connected. You can reach every spot on skies or take the free bus, which is driving very frequently. For us, the best slopes were in the region of St. Oswald. Specially I have to praise all the workers on the slopes which all very kind and are doing a great job so that even when there was not a lot of snow, slopes were in great condition.

The area of bkk is sunnier than other skiing resorts north of the high Tauern Alps, which hold the clouds away from lows in the northern alps. However therefore it only snows, when there is a low in the Adria area, which happens less frequently. The snow depth is rarely more than 1.50m on the mountains. Fortunately they keep the pistes open with artificial snow. The area has around 90 pistes and it takes 3 hours to ski from one end to the other. There is a variety of difficult slopes (in Mulde und Scharte), which are not crowded, however the valley of st Oswald and kaiserburg can become crowded. Some connecting lifts are very slow( Strohsack and sonnwiesen chairlift ) and need to replaced by faster lifts.

Not beginner friendly for sure
Feb 2019 • Family
Beautiful place but definitely not beginner or kids friendly. The Slops are extremely hard. The lifts are great and the view from the Top of the mountain was breathtaking. but once you go up you must go down!!! you could take the lift back or you could gamble with your life and try the intermediate slopes. terrifying

Fun

It was my very first time so keep in mind that this is the review of girl who has no experience on the ski pistes. As a first time I liked the place and the experience. If you are an expert there are many pistes you can go in with the skipass. If you're like me you can stay down and you don't need to pay anything. Anyway, I think Austria is a little bit expensive. There are many restaurants and one is right on the snow.

Ski review

We expected much more from this ski resort.
First and main thing is very old infrastructure; if you pay ski pass 46 euros you expect to have modern and quick ski lifts and gondolas but here is not the case., so all lifts are very slow and queues are huge. Also due to there weren’t enough snow, slopes were very ice.
