This was the first time we visited Naga Bar in our every year visits to Koh Samed.
We were surprised to see such atmosphere on Koh Samed as we always thought this was the quietest island in Thailand.
The cocktails were decent although less alcoholic content than usual ones we have. Food from a nearby stall was awesome and the music was okay.
I would like to suggest to the management, hire a proper DJ who can play proper numbers. Don't hire someone who's not up for it. The DJ was really annoying as he/she changed songs right after playing for 30 seconds or a minute? I mean I have never experienced someone like that who doesn't know that it takes at least a minute for anyone to get the rhythm and have some fun. No requests taken for some awesome numbers. After couple of hours he/she repeated the set???? Really??
Overall a must visit place for all those who want to have some fun time on the island.

This is a sort of twofer. Awesome place to relax during the day. But then it morphs into a good lively place in the evening. Cheap beer, cheap food. Lovely!

Best bar in Koh Samet, the atmosphere is incredible. Body painting, buckets, good music, just have fun and dance.

We stayed at next door hotel (Tok s little hut) and passed every night from bar. Bar (at right side) was empty even at 10-11 but restaurant (at left side) always full. There is buffet where you can select among meat, chicken, fish etc and cook it yourself.
Price is amazingly cheap at 189thb pp if you consider that breakfast at our hotel was 190thb and breakfast at hotel in our left was 350pp (but it was buffet).
So their buffet included food fruits and ice cream. Food was ok but ice cream ruined it all. All 4 flavours tasted like expired milk and despite the good meal we had we left with unhappy taste.

Most people go here as it's one of the few places that's actually opened.
I'm really into dance/ house music but I thought the DJ was terrible. Continually plays a song for 15 seconds and then changes it just as you're getting in to it.
Best tip I can give is to check your change. The barman who wears the snapback hat thought I wouldn't check my change. He was wrong and immediately gave me my 500 baht note without even checking what he had given me. He knew I knew he'd been caught.

This place is hilarious. It's definitely a good time. Party shuts down at 12:00am. The music gets better around 10:00pm, buckets of drinks are good. Wear something you'd be okay getting body paint on.

We have visited this bar several times over the years. It's kind of meeting point in the evening for everyone from different countries to different ages. Because it is at the end of Sai Kaew Beach, the music does not disturb others and it is a corner for itself. The drinks were reasonably price. A bottle of Chang Beer was 100baht and a bottle of Bacardi Lime was 120baht. In the evening there is a DJ that plays groovy music.

We found this place after eating at Jep's one night. It's a very friendly and comfortable bar to be. We started with some B52 shots, then some buckets. We absolutely loved this bar.
The DJ played music by request. We grabbed some glow paint which is free from the bar by request and left our stamp on the place, on the walls and table.
Naga Bar get's busy as the night goes on, the bar staff are so friendly. They have a dance floor and no que for the toilets. You can play ping pong and also have a dance on the pole!
We stayed one night past closing time, three of the bar staff came sat with us after cleaning up and had a drink and chatted away for a little bit before heading back to our resort.
Naga bar is a awesome place to be.

If you want to go to one of the island's bar, go here! Music was good, they played a lot of English hits! There were a lot of people on the weekend and the atmosphere was really good! They offered also UV paints for free so you can paint your body or face!
