Clear water, white sand. There are some beach lounge chairs to be rented. The personnel that you should pay to will appear as soon as you put some thing on one of the chairs. Toilets are close to the beach. Follow the signs a little bit to the hill. I haven't seen any showers, which is the only disadvantage that I saw.

We’ve been to Ko Samet Island a few times now and love it, however the main beach is so overcrowded but can’t go wrong here. Apart from speed boats coming in (sadly part of the island now) it’s beautiful and surprisingly unspoiled, white sand and turquoise sea, not too many vendors selling their goods and a couple of good bars-restaurants..wouldn’t go to Ko Samet if it wasn’t for this beach

If you like to stay close to paradise this is the place. Close to an awesome beach with beautiful sand. Take snorkeling in corals close to the beach.

I'm very dissapointed by the beaches here but on this beach there's a part that doesn't belong to any resort and is not visited by speed boats. Nice 'n' sandy and vary calm in comparoson to many other beaches

I visited Koh Samet three times; December/January 2017, March/April 2017, May/June 2017. I really like Ao Phai beach and you can find Samed Villa Resort there, which is the best accomodation in Koh Samet according me. Profesional staff, excellent food, clean an comfortable room.
Ao Phai beach is clean, quiet and you can find a good massage there (special massage from lady DANG).

We were staying near Sai Kaew Beach but it was so noisy with an overload of noisy Chinese tourists, screaming jet ski boats, and speed boats revving up to take tourists back to the mainland, that we sought refuge in Ao Phai, just to the west of Sai Kaew.

It was like walking into another world - a world of peace and quiet. And ironically, someone has placed hand made signs at several points along the beach reading "Silence".

Ao Phai is a small sandy cove lapped by crystal clear waters.

Immediately behind the beach are some resorts and homestays, some bars, and some restaurants.

It was worth the short walk to escape Sai Kaew.

This is a grat beach, it is not to big, and you can have a good overlook at your children. Several good restaurants, also the best on the island, the restaurant on Samed villa:-)

Still a beautiful beach with soft white sand. Gets a bit busy up at the Naga/Jeps end of the beach. The other end is much quieter with only deck chairs to rent from the Local Thai lady who has lived there for years and years. She doesn't allow smoking, drinking alcohol or music on this part of the beach. This is really good as it keeps the beach clean and quiet. Still looks the same as it did 30 years ago and I hope it stays this way.
