Don't let the lack of polish on their website throw you--these guys are the real deal, and above and beyond more commercial tours, especially for smaller groups! Isara and his wife are wonderful, and extremely capable! Isara has grown up living and tracking in the area, and has been a licensed guide in Khao Yai for a long time, and I can honestly say, they were among the best guides I've had on any trip in the last 20+ years.

There were four of us (two couples) who did a day and a half tour, and we met/spoke with Isara and B in advance to plan the program. They picked us up and dropped us off at our hotel in the Khao Yai area. The first day, we spent 12 hours in the park, beginning with bird watching, then went hiking/tracking in the jungle, and a visit to the waterfall and a scenic view. The second afternoon, we visited a natural spring/swimming site, local fruit market, and fruit farm outside the park (there was a little bird watching along the way too!), and ended the day enjoying local fruit watching the twilight exodus from the bat caves (hundreds of thousands of bats roil out of this particular mountainside cave at twilight each night--watching from below is truly amaaazing!) Isara is an expert at tracking, finding, and viewing wildlife. He is deeply knowledgable about the flora and fauna in the area, and brought a telescope and binoculars to help us enjoy. Most of all, he and his wife are kind, considerate, friendly guides who are concerned with the welfare and enjoyment of their guests AND with the welfare and ecology of the local wildlife. Apparently they are also now offering rafting and bicycle tours as well. Truly a great experience with many personal touches. I would recommend them to anyone!

Pros: Excellent wildlife viewing and education (gibbons, macaques, unusual birds, possibly elephants and crocodile, exotic plant life); knowledgable, conscientious guides; great side trip outside urban Bangkok
Cons: Mosquitoes
What to bring: Sturdy shoes for hiking, light weight long sleeves and pants, good bug repellent, camera

This trip was a bit pricy in comparason to other trips in thailand, but it was fun and interesting. We had a small group of 5 of us. The first day we went swiming and to a cave, but the really cool part was at sunset we went to a field and watched an estimated 4 million bats rush out of the top of a mountain to go feed for the night. It was really amazing to see. On day 2 we went into the national park and into the jungle. The trip is not really a fast pace, we took out time a lot. We saw some Gibbon and other monkeys in the jungle and some really interesting plants and birds. We didn't see any elephants, although our guide said that they often do see them. We also went to see a nice water fall (the one from the movie "The Beach").

Our guide was really great. He was very passionate about his job and the jungle. He was entertaining, funny andvery kind.
