Great temple on a clean beach

The temple is a must visit if you are in the vicinity or travelling via Kunkeshwar. Great temple on a clean beach. The beach is a bit rocky, but quite accessible.

This is super clean place on beach you can spot fishes. There is swayambhu shiva temple right on the beach. No crowd, clean water I did not see any house near by. Looks like only one MTDC resort is there.

Kunkeshwar beach is relatively unknown as such but made famous by the adjacent Kunkeshwar Temple. The beach is littered with garbage and has numerous shallow rocky strips. On high tide days more litter is noticed floating near the beach. Can get crowded and dirty due to the proximity of the temple. Can be visited once.

Excellent beach with crystal clear water. No good restaurants around. Only good thing is beach quality and very less crowded, so you can get a feel of private beach :)

‎Annapurna restaurant here in Kunkeshwar was certainly the highlight of our trip. After a grueling 2.5 hours to get here from Ratnagiri and a satisfying temple trip, paying our respects to Lord Shiva, the food at Annapurna certainly was the highlight! The elderly gentleman serving us the rice, curry and surmai fry along-with cabbage, ussal, varaan and pickle made the... More
