The light house is located at a place where one gets the best view of The Arabian Sea. The approach is narrow but cars reach there. It is in a secluded place so not many persons visit there. The school students should visit to know about the ships, light houses, communication to shipping and related matters. It will very educational.

It gives the beautiful view and feel of the region. One must not miss this tower if one is in Konkan and exploring it's real beauty.

Reached by narrow road, good place to go up and get a lovely view of the sea down below. Best to go between 4 and 5. Not crowded like other lighthouses so one can enjoy the solitude. otherwise it is an average lighthouse attraction.

I went to the lighthouse during the visit to Ratnadurg fort last month (August). The lighthouse stands at possibly the highest point (tie with the bhagwati temple) of the fort. The setting's good as one gets good views of the beach (ratnagiri) and it's fun to watch the waves roll in very fast. However, the lighthouse proper was closed for... More

Standing alone at the cliff top, wind swept trees and tall grass lands all around ,this place is out of the world experience. I dont think many people visit this place , and thats what makes it attractive for a lone traveller. makes you feel retrospective . ENJOY the serenity .... if you are in for out of the box... More
