Just an amazing view
Feb 2019 • Solo
Everytime of the day has a different landscape color, different light in the horizont and diferent contrast. Best time to me is the evening, "el Teide" rises over the mountains and the fishing boats do there way back home. Stanning!

Coastline scenery

Another stop on one of our day trips around the island and we found a beautiful spot to stop and have a picnic lunch. Scenery is amazing. Walking to the viewpoint was easy and worth the effort.

Nice view
Mar 2019 • Solo
Nice view and you could buy fruit, coffee and soda from a truck. It is a cul de saq, you cannot continue on the GC-200 to the north.

Great views!
May 2018 • Solo
Anden Verde is a zone located in the North-West of the Gran Canary Island. It is a natural zone, where you can see awesome views of the ocean and the mountains. Really, it is a great place! Also, it is one of the less visited places in the island, because roads are very bad, but it is very recommendable. Also, in the zone, you can see some sightseeings like Mirador del Balcón, Charco Azul or Barranco de Guayedra. Come and enjoy!

Excellent Views but now off the beaten track due to closed road
May 2017 • Couples
As previously mentioned most of the road that this view point is on is now closed. Visiting in May 2017, a new tunnel has recently been opened that by passes all this part of scenic coast road and the view points. This caused some confusion as it wasn't on any maps I had or my latest map downloads, all of which were still showing the GC200 as still open. In fact Google maps still show it today, with no mention of the bypass, which essentially runs from El Risco to El Albercon. A large section of the old road is now closed off, as i suspect the cost of maintaining it from falling rocks is too large.

Saying all that, it is still possible (may 2017 at least) to get to both viewpoints, albeit each side is down a dead end of poorly maintained old GC200. Also you dont get the full effect you would have once had of driving along the road when open. Sign posts remain to "Anden Verde" which adds to the confusion as this cant be accessed easily at all (see pics, i had to walk around a fence). The view is spectacular however there is nothing else there and its accessed down a long dead end from the El Risco Side. The other viewpoint is a bit easier to get too, signposted as Anden Verde off the El Albercon side of the bypass. Technically this view point is "mirador del balcon", which has a few steps down to a viewing platform. The dead end road is now blocked beyond the steps - a drinks seller had a van parked there, and accosted us as soon as we parked up, virtually opening the car door to thrust some food on a stick into our mouths. We politely declined this 3 times, until he stormed off in a huff with a face like thunder for the rest of our stay here. To be fair, business must be few and far between now the road is shut.

Not much else to be said about this place, cracking views, but now a faff to get too and not as an exciting drive. Pictures tell the story. Hope this essay helps people planing to visit who have maps and guide books telling them to visit the place as we did!

Beautiful view
Oct 2016
We were with the car on a roadtrip. The Anden Verde is even more beautiful than the pictures. It's just a pitty that there is no place to sit and drink something. It's not hard to find, but we almost drive by, than we saw a few people there and stopped. Be carefull to stopp it's worth it.

On the way to Anden Verde stop at beautiful small harbor at the bay between huge rock coming down straight to the Atlantic. No fishermen boats, but there are some motor boats of local people, some local swimmers and children jumping and swimming, there. Nice place to relax.

Definately nice to see this side of the island as well
Mar 2017 • Couples
This side of GC, the west coast is not much populated as the moutains stick up highly from the water, so it is not easy to bath there and to go to the water in the first place.

You drive on a road close the the water with nice views with some observation points for taking pictures and just enjoying the elements.

A bit like west coast on Mallorca, but the problem is that one part of the road here is closed so you cannot make a roundtrip. It is not dangerous, you will see clearly the sign once you cannot continue.

GC200 is closed
Feb 2017 • Couples
The road has been closed with no date for reopening therefore it's impossible to do this route.
There is one brief warning on the motorway signs so look out for those

I was reading a forum on trip advisor about scenic routes! Someone mention about this GC200!! Well, how to say: OMG!!! I love driving and seen many scenary routes in europe but i have to say: this road is in top 5 if not 3:)! One more thing, almost every road you take to the middle of the island for roque nublo is great, this one is just breathtaking! Mountins and ocean , nothing else!! Unbelievable! Well done people of GC!!! Thank you!!!
