Like all the beaches visited so far, it is worth it. We did a whole day at Lohan Beach House Mykonos (much cheaper than nearby Solymar, where entry cost €55 per person). Al Lohan is an absolutely must-do experience. €60 for umbrellas not in the first rows (I think from the 3rd onwards, which is also the amount we paid). At this beach - based on our experience - I recommend booking in advance even in September. While at Ornos and at Tropicana (Paradise Beach) we found a first row seat - without booking in advance, at Lohan everything was already booked. Food and drinks more expensive than other beaches and they didn't have any of the Greek beers we ordered, but only Sol and Heineken (12€ each). We didn't eat anything, so dishes cannot be evaluated. Friendly staff. Positive note of all establishments: really clean toilets! For a picky eater like me, this is something not to be underestimated!

We stopped at Lohan where the cost of a single sunbed (ultralarge) is €30, without obligatory drinks. The staff is attentive and courteous. You can choose whether to have lunch under the umbrella or at the restaurant behind the beach where the super clean toilets are also located. Good quality background music at an acceptable volume. Free parking.

There was a range of prices for lounge chairs with umbrellas. We chose the ones for 30€. The first group of chairs were 50€, but we kept walking until we couldn’t hear the music from Lohan Beach House. We parked across from the Aegon and were charged 10€ by guys that said they are from the hotel but were not wearing hotel shirts. I’m sure it was a scam. We asked everyone that worked there if parking was free and all claimed not to know. Really?

The beach was nice though incredibly windy. The water was nice too. It dropped off quickly but then there was a sandbar with no stones.

We hired a car and spent a day on a couple of Mykonos’ quieter beaches and this beach was recommended by the hotel staff, who said it’s a family beach with a public parking area. We arrived and were stopped by 2 guys, one of whom told me it was all private and there was no public parking and that I had to pay 5 euros to park. I queried it and he said again they it was all private parking, so I paid the money. We got to the beach, which is lovely, and sun beds range from 30 euros for 2 basic beds furthest from the sea, to 80 euros for 2 sun beds on the back row, linked to a bar. We decided to sit in the shade of a tree, with the lovely Senegalese seller, which was much nicer. The beach itself is lovely, and the water is clean and beautiful to swim in. We visited another beach after this, then when I returned to the hotel the staff confirmed that we’d been scammed by the parking guys at the beach, which spoilt the experience of this beach for us a little.

Attracted by the positive and enthusiastic reviews on the sea and the beach we decided to spend a day at the beach in this place.

Unfortunately I understand that as an Italian used to a sea and the services we offer on our beaches we always start at a disadvantage.

The inlet from a naturalistic point of view appears in the average of the beaches of mikonos, which to be honest is nothing exceptional especially when compared to the Ionian Islands.
Services offered on the equipped beach, such as umbrellas and sun loungers start from 80€ with mandatory consumption for at least 60€. The sand is mixed gravel and unpleasant, the position of the rows of umbrellas, especially those set aside can be quite unsatisfactory.

Overall the feeling of spending a day under the umbrella in the shade, paying 140/150 € made me feel unintelligent to have come.
The spirit of the island, so called "party boy" and "glamour" seems to me rather home to a meaningless conformism and devoid of everything that can connote luxury, privacy and exclusivity.

I state that we are making a trip without sparing expenses, therefore the comment should be interpreted as the Rating of a vacationer who is not scandalized by the cost of the service but is attentive overall to the 'general experience of the trip and the "touch and feel"

I personally advise against encouraging this type of tourist offer.

Happy holidays to all

Solymar beach bar - for 2 persons at least 200eur including sunbeds and some beverages - but this is guess.
Lohan beach bar - looks nicer and little bit cheaper.
We used free space on the beach, see very nice and clean, sand and everything on very good level, but there was a lot of wind on our day. Recommended for your towels and umbrellas as beach is very long and you can choose your space whenever you like it. Not too far from Mykonos town.

Everyone has their own beach preferences. Kalo Livadi beach has crystal clear waters, a good stretch of sand, but it tends to be very windy there. It is located about 10km from the center. I just went to see it, it has a good infrastructure with bars and restaurants that offer sun loungers and umbrellas, but you have to pay to have this comfort. As the strip of sand is extensive, it is possible to take a blanket and sit on it.

We arrived at 10, we sat right by a store...
Solimar wanted 70 euros a person for the sunbed, money that seemed too much to me.
Right next to him there were some trees with beautiful shade, we sat there for 4 hours.
The beach is beautiful, it didn't blow, there was plenty of space to put an umbrella / towel. The sea as always clear. You could park freely right next to the beach.

Lohans beach house
Represents the worst side of Mykonos: snobby service, everything overpriced, music so loud you can’t even talk (I pity all the neighbours who rented a house there for lots of money and can’t sleep due to the noise), they are using the beach as their own personal property, making it harder and harder for locals to park. Basically over-exploitation, hyper-commercialism and a “who cares if we destroy Mykonos” mentality. The beach is nice.

This sandy beach is located in a cove, walking distance from several local hotels. The beach was not crowded, even on a Sunday when we visited. The adjoining beach, belonging to the Solymar Resort, was noisy and crowded but we were able to get far enough away from that on this public beach to have a very pleasurable experience.
