It cost £30 for 2 adults & 2 young children. You get a very basic leaflet in badly translated English and no further guidance. There are very few signs around the castle.
You are left to your own devices and with no knowledge of French I would say the treasure hunt is impossible. There were no staff in the castle at all to help or guide you.
The ‘ghost voices’ simply come from a tape machine which can be easily seen in most rooms and is of homemade quality.
When we did manage to find a piece of the puzzle hidden in a room, it was simply a small piece of paper stuck on with blue tack - very amateur!!!
The paths to the chapel are very steep and almost dangerous for children. The all important ‘key’ which the children were looking for turns out to be a stick of wood. And the treasure just a picture on a piece of paper. They were not impressed.
If you are used to the quality of professional tourist attractions in London I think you will be unhappy to pay £30 to visit this castle.
The shop was selling local wine for €11 when I had paid €7 buying it directly from the winemaker the day before - that’s just a blatant rip off!

This chateau is a little off the beaten path but worth visiting. It has undergone a comprehensive restoration project and is easily visited in an hour. There used to be a demonstration of medieval catapults but the new owners have decided that this is too dangerous and have stopped it. Pity.

We drove out of our way to see this chateau. Sadly it is closed and looks to need major renovation.

It is a very interesting chateau, set up from the road and valley below. It has some very old parts as well as newer (Renaissance) additions.

The grounds are interesting and have some old weaponry on the grounds.

It will take some major funds to put this chateau back in order. It will probably be years before it is open again.
