We got directions from locals and went down several different tracks (also used google maps) but couldn't find this place and gave up. Probably just as well, as it was a freezing cold day!

Our family biked on some of these tracks. It was well sign posted and a great trail. We biked the easy trail which as an inexperienced mountain biker, I found it fantastic.

We rode the Easy Rider track, great track through the forest. Bit chilly in the winter months but would be a nice shady ride on hot days. Well maintained track, not too much fitness required but still a good workout and excellent being so close to the township. Would definitely do this again. Lots of walking tracks to for different... This walk is a must do after a rain as the smells of the forest are amazing. This walk has several off shoots to choose from to take you to different areas. Some tracks are walking & biking, while some tracks are for horses. Recommend

We really enjoyed the woodland walk with it's deciduous trees as well as evergreen. A beautiful mixture of colours from late autumn leaves contrasting to deep greens, set off by the white crisp frost covering the grassed areas. Stunning. Would include photos but the app only allows me to access photos on my phone not from Dropbox 😕

You can choose flat or elevated walks. There is an information board at the beginning to help you decide. There area lot of nice walks and fun cycle trails. You can also purchase maps at the Information Centre for $3.

It's an easy drive from the village over an unsealed winding road calling for appropriate care and consideration for other drivers.

This trail is relatively flat and great for walkers and bikers. It's about 20 min walk from the main street in Hanmer Springs. I did the Forest Walk, which takes about an hour and winds through the trees and beside Dog Stream. Great for everyone who likes nature.

Taking a wet weather jacket, some water and a snack we walked up to the waterfall. I am a slow walker up hill, so it took a while. Clearly signed and straight forward with no dangerous spots on the occasion of our visit,, could be different after rain. We also walked up the Chatterton river path for an hour or... More
