Experience nature and adrenaline in the tour of Yunque Ziplining (formerly known as Ecorainforest Ziplining). The award-winning tour takes place in the lively town of Luquillo located on the northeast of Puerto Rico. A 45-minute drive from San Juan takes you to a secluded and private rainforest tucked in the mountains with unique views of El Yunque Rainforest, the only tropical rainforest in the US Forest System. Feel the buzz through the forest canopy in our 5 breathtaking ziplines, enjoy an easy rappel and a moderate 10-minute educational hike in the rainforest. Participants will enjoy trekking a hanging canopy bridge. This adventure-filled 2-hour outing includes safety equipment and certified bilingual tour guides. Your tour ends at a typical countryside house where you can relax, enjoy the beautiful scenery and refuel your energy with refreshing local juices and snacks.

My wife, myself and our two friends had one of our best and favorite experiences in Puerto Rico at EcoRainforest Ziplining! This was the second time all 4 of us have taken a vacation in Puerto Rico and were ecstatic that we found this company and experience. We were excited going in, but I have to say it was so much more than we expected. We had Rey, Lori and Luisa as our guides and from the moment we got there, these three were incredibly engaging and even made the initial prep and safety training extremely enjoyable and entertaining.
Speaking of safety, I’ve done rope courses and zip lines before with your standard safety practices, but it was apparent from the start that they were focused on taking any risk out of the realm of possibility in how they were hands on at each zip line and rappel to make sure we were secured properly.
What I would say was super unique was that this was supposed to be a 2 hour tour and we were there almost 3 hours and never once felt rushed or like they wanted to race through and get it finished with. Instead they were genuinely engaged with us and took the time to answer our questions and just provide great education about the rainforest, its eco system and all the animals and plants! They took time to find some very cool creatures and plants such as the types of centipedes found there and give us the time to hold them and have that experience. The relaxed pace, education and just humorous engagement made it feel extremely personable. Combined with 5 very different and very fun zip lines and a rappelling experience and you have the recipe for an OUTSTANDING time! 5 out of 5 for sure and would definitely recommend anyone visiting Puerto Rico to sign up!

I have been to PR twice over the past two years and both times went with this company. Both groups I brought LOVED it and I highly recommend this as an addition to your trip. The entire crew (Reynard, Lori and Luisa) made everyone feel safe and laugh throughout the journey. Don't miss this adventure!

Our family of seven (2 adults and 5 kids ranging from 7 to 14) had a great time on this adventure. We went with Reynard and Miguel, and they both were amazing! Great with the kids and very patient. They knew a ton about the jungle and made it interesting for everyone - especially with the tarantula and millipede that they showed us.
The zip lining and rappelling were exhilarating! The location is perfect and set right in the jungle's canopy. We were literally zip lining through the tree tops. And we felt safe and secure the entire time. Our youngest went with an adult the first time, but after that he was flying solo for the rest of the zip lines. We would definitely recommend to anyone who may be at all interested in zip lining. We couldn't have been happier!

Absolutely not worth the price. Brian and Rey did a really great job as our guides, however, I felt like this trip was false advertising. I read it was a two hour trip with ziplining, a rappel wall, and a 10 minute hike, and it ended up being maybe 10 minutes of ziplining, a quick rappel wall, and mostly walking/hiking through the rainforest. The guides gave us lots of info on the rainforest, the history, different vegetation, etc., but it just wasn’t much actual ziplining. There were only 5 ziplines, a couple that were very short, so instead of very slowly going through them and stopping at every turn to talk, I felt like they could have told us about the rainforest while going through the zipline course a few times. For spending over $300 for less than 2 hours and only doing 5 ziplines, 2 of which were short, I was disappointed with the value. I will reiterate though, Brian and Rey were really great guides, and I appreciated having them, I just wish it was more ziplining.

Absolutely the best! It wasn’t a package amusement park setting- it was an amazing opportunity to do something totally unique!! More than zip lining. Location is a hidden paradise. Our guides were fun and knowledgeable - great infrastructure and felt safe with their expertise as well. The repelling was a bonus but manageable and we all cheered each other on and the overall group has 9-60 yr olds. The bit of trail hiking was also manageable and so beautiful. Thanks for the memories Miguel, Joalex, Ian and Kevin, the best guides. Cheers!

My family and friends had an amazing zipline experience with yunque ziplining. The manager Brain, our tour guide Roberto and his team did an excellent job in getting us signed up and explaining the details/safety etc.
5 ziplines, hanging bridge walk and rappelling was fun. All the ziplines had amazing views of the forest with lots of different fruit trees around. Last zipline also had amazing views of the mountains.
We had a small baby in the group and the crew put up a hammock for us and made us so comfortable while the others completed their zipline experience. Brian and crew shared a lot of information about local areas to visit, local food, history about trees and animals inside the forest which we all found really interesting. Very professional, informative friendly and went out of their way to make our zipline experience a memorable one. 100% recommend them if you want to try zipline in Puerto Rico

My group and I were first introduced by Reynold, Miguel, and Javier who were very friendly and made us comfortable to ask any questions. They kept the energy and spirits up and encouraged us when we may have been scared to try something. They always took the best pictures and told us about nature and answered all our questions when we we’re interested. They showed us small things in nature that we may have not spotted and gave us a hands on experience. The energy was great and our guides were always very reassuring throughout the experience. Even in a big group, there is always things to see and places to sit and talk with the rest of the people. I wish we were here for longer and could go and do it again, all of us had a great time with the best people.

It was absolutely breath taking experience. Reynard, Lori, Luisa were our staffs, they were so knowledgeable and funny at the same time, made this trip extra special. They were so patient with my 8 and 11 year old, and my children also loved them. They went extra miles to make this memory unforgettable. Reynard picked and opened a coconut for my little girl, and made my 8 year olds dream come true 😊 She’s been wanting to drink coconut water from coconut that was just picked. Children agreed this was their favorite excursion. Amazing view and attentive, kind staffs. Definitely will come back here on our next trip to Puerto Rico.

I took 3 kids, ranging 10-12 years in age on this zipline course recently. Ray and Miguel were our guides, and they were patient, kind, friendly, and very knowledgeable about the rainforest. They made us feel very safe, and none of the children nor I ever felt scared. In addition to the ziplines which of course are super fun, the repelling is also a lot of fun, and there are swings in random parts of the course, and the children really enjoyed those. We saw lots of lizards, millipedes, huge snails, a snake, and a few tarantula homes (although they did not come out for us). We learned a lot about the trees and plants as well. We have traveled a fair amount, and this was honestly one of the best things we have ever experienced. Pro tip: if you tell them you are into birds, they will nerd out on you big time. ;)

Our guides were Miguel, Bryan and Ian. They were so funny and personable. I was afraid of heights and they made me feel comfortable and made the whole experience fun instead of intimidating. They took the time to stop and point out different little creatures and plants and teach us about them while we went from platform to platform. It's a super easygoing course perfect for beginners or kids.

Wear hiking boots or sneakers with traction. There is hiking involved and if it rains (it’s a rainforest so very likely) the mud makes it slippery.

With the onset of the rainy season plants are growing vigorously and the forest is making its comeback... Sadly YZA is not. We did all that had to be done to protect, rebuild and re-open our ecotourist enterprise after the passing of Irma and Maria. There are mixed reports and announcements, but truth is that tourism to our area has been severely affected--- for various reasons, but mostly due to the temporary shut down of nearby hotels and El Yunque National Forest's conditions and lack of visitors. YZA's employees have moved on to other jobs/companies and I am left with little support at the moment. We will offer tours on limited dates this Summer, so tell your friends or potential visitors: please call for info [their phone number as listed above]. After Summer (beginning of what used to be "low season") I shall be closing operations unless I find a business partner or a potential buyer. We are going to the St. Regis in March and we'd like to take the whole family zip lining. The youngest two in our group are 7 years old. Can they go zip lining with us? We also have three 10 year olds and an 11 year old (plus 4 adults). Also, do you offer pick up from the hotel?

Hola! We are sorry but we allow children 10 years and up, who weigh 80 pounds or more (in order to make it all the way across our long ziplines). For recommendations or further assistance, please call us to (787)242-3368. In our vicinity there are a couple of other companies who allow children 6 and up.

Hello, I'd like to do ziplining with my family. I weigh 235 lbs and am 6'7" and my son weighs 210 lbs and is 6'5. Are their any height or weight restrictions?

Hola!
Yes sir, for safety reasons we do have weight restrictions. We normally allow up to 230 pounds, although we do not recommend it to ladies who weigh more than 200 pounds and are 5'5" or less in height. These restrictions are not due to the gear and zip line elements, as these are constructed to sustain heavy loads and forces; they have to do with how one travels on our zip lines. Zip lines work because of gravity, so from the participant's perspective weight/mass represent the most significant factors affecting how one travels, particularly with regards to speed and sag of the cables. A person weighing above 200 pounds will travel relatively fast and will come in to platform landings relatively low. This increases the risk of sustaining an injury upon landing if someone does not follow instructions properly. To discuss this further please contact us to (787)242-3368
