Every year we try get out to Prince Edward Island for a couple of golf games amongst the many beautiful courses the island has to offer. This year we played Stanhope and it did not disappoint! Great course to walk, nice scenery and friendly staff....More
Friendly and supportive pro shop helped get us fully outfitted quickly and spontaneously for great 9 holes. Course was busy enough but relaxed and had most fun golfing in a long time. Pleased to see that young players welcomed. Very reasonable course fees and rentals...More
Really enjoyed the course. Very pretty, with a number of holes on the water. Challenging but fair. Nice wide fairways. In quite good shape. Not as well known as some of the destination courses, but definitely worth playing (and much easier on the wallet)
Friendly staff to greet us. A couple of nice views of the water. Overall the course was in average shape. A couple of greens were under repair. Fairways were ok. Course is long for the average female golfer. Good for a recreational round.
Unlike some PEI courses (Green Gables, for instance), Stanhope doesn't charge excessive greens fees. Many of the holes have water views and you are likely to see a fox or two on your round. Stanhope has a very local flavor rather than a touristy vibe....More
