My family and I had a great time playing at the Stanhope Golf Club. Well maintained course, friendly staff and endless views of both water and land. We aren't great golfers, but my husband and I and our sons, 15 and 10, all had a great time. Can't wait to come back for another round.

...but sadly the rain started on the 13th hole. Great golf course - very forgiving - lots of open area. But watch out for those dog-leg fairways! Wonderful views of the bay, as well.

The course is forgiving on most holes. It has a few risk vs. reward holes. The weather plays a big role towards enjoying the round because of it’s location. I’ve played this course about a dozen times and have never had a bad experience. The buildings are experienced and older gas powered carts but the place still has a certain... More

I had a great time for my first round of the year. It's a very forgiving course and has some nice views of the bay and ocean.

A nice place to stop for breakfast no other place in Stanhope. You can also get a wrap or a burger and fries.

Yesterday was a great day for golfing at Stanhope. The rain of the previous three days made the greens a little slower but it did not affect the fairways. They were in great shape as I expected some pooling or a little marshy areas given the amount of rain. Happy that was not the case. This is a challenging course... More

Among the north shore courses, this one is something different. Whereas the other courses are geared toward earning green fee, tourist dollars, Stanhope caters to local members. It's a true Island course, a throwback to the sixties or seventies. The clubhouse and the service lack polish and refinement, and the course has a number of twisty, merciless holes requiring local... I grew up learning the game of golf at Stanhope and every time I make it back to the island I have to make a trip out and play Stanhope. The course itself is fun, fair, and challenging. You will have some risk/reward shots and will most likely use every club in the bag. The views of Covehead are breathtaking... More

Visited last month and was a dissapointment. The course was in less than great shape because of the past winter but also because the financial backers are not putting money back into the course to bring it back to better condition. But by far what is lacking at this golf course is customer service. My friend and I visited on... More
