Had not played this course in a couple of years and this was like retuning to see an old friend. Great course in great shape. Fairways are like walking on carpet. Greens are large and receive the ball well. The green speed is quick and the hidden contours make putting here a great challenge. One of Atlantic Canada's best tracks!! Highly recommend.

We played on a wind swept day which obviously increased the difficulty of this top notch golf course. 5 sets of tees to play from so was very fair. You got to play here - exceptional condition, great warm up facilities, well stocked pro shop, cool logo.

The course was in great shape, greens were fast, fairways didn't have a mark on them.
Staff was very helpful.

This is a top notch golf course. It’s challenging with lots of deep bunkers filled with PEI red dirt. A little bit of water but not much. The course is well laid out. We had a cart which had GPS and told you how far you were away from the pin, the water... It would be a long course to be on foot as some of the distance between holes must push 1km. The resort atmosphere is really nice. Good food, friendly service, good Marshall. Hustling place in the summertime.

Arrived in P.E.I. On a week long stay and play golf package through Rodd Resorts. Head booked tee times ahead at their four courses. Brudenell River was in terrible shape, but we played our round. We were advised by the course staff that day that Dundarave was in worse shape with 7 temporary greens. We cancelled our tee time but then, because of the short notice, were unable to book a suitable time at Crowbush. Felt very cheated, in that we could have been contacted prior to our vacation date and changed our tee times to a playable course at that time.

Dundarave golf course enjoys a reputation as one of the best places to play on PEI. However the course took a beating during the severe winter that the island endured this year. There are currently 6 holes with temporary greens and the other greens have yet to recover either. The layout is decent but for me the wow factor is missing. Under better circumstances the course would be worth a visit but I would call first to check on the progress of restoring the greens to proper quality. In all fairness extensive hard-working is being done but it will be some time before the effects are seen. They do offer a reduced fee and free cart along with friendly service.

Good morning David L, Thank you for taking the time to visit and to write a review of our golf course. It's true that the course did not come out of the winter in the condition we and our guests expect. We are working diligently to repair the issues on the greens, our grounds crew will have all 18 greens open for play Friday, June 26. I'm happy to hear that although the course was not what you expected you enjoyed the friendly service and complementary cart. We hope to see you in the future. I'm available at any time if you'd like assistance, you can reach me at 1-800-235-8909. Ryan

The fairways are mostly forgiving but many sandtraps catch you if you take them for granite. Several great holes that offer reward for risk. A course that will make use of every club in your bag.
There are some serious walks between green and tee boxes, so be ready for as much walking between holes and on the course.

I cannot recommend playing here. There are two courses at this venue we only played Dundarave.
We were paired up with two other players. They were only occasional golfers and their course etiquette and standard of play left much to be desired.
Course is basically a succession of very long holes with trees lining the fairways very few views or scenery to enliven your round. Course condition poor. Bunkers raked with machine so edges broken down, greens and approaches covered with unrepaired pitch marks. There were large areas of damage due to fusarium. Some greens had moss on them.
Golf carts were controlled so that you could not get anywhere near the greens (60-70 yards away) most of the time. This made chipping and short approach shots tedious and difficult as you were carrying 3-4 clubs and your putter. Sometimes you were limited to one side of the fairway with the cart.
Course was also very wet.
It would be almost impossible to walk this course. At one point there was a 1/4 mile between green and tee of next hole. You can be up to 4 miles from the clubhouse.
