Had a great time on the river. Very relaxing. My advise is not to paddle, just drift down the river at a slow liesurely pace. Truly for beginners and families with children.

A very relaxing ride down a clean and beautiful river. It takes about 2.5 hours. We brought snacks, boozy drinks and weed, tied our tubes together and enjoyed the day immensely.

Four of us went tubing on the BC Day long weekend. When we got in the water, there were hundreds of others, many of them in large groups floating together. They can be loud with music, drinking and smoking. Avoid warm pockets of water... just...More

So much fun. Friendly staff, they know you’ve come to play. Great service. Next time I’d bring paddles for leverage, so spots were painfully slow. Comes with the territory of a great hot summer. Awesome River.

We were delayed getting started because some of our tubes were too soft and no paddles were available. Once on the river we had a memorable day. Pick up was prompt and friendly. Definitely will do this again.

Great Day to float down the river. It was packed because of the heat but the crowd was friendly and made the excursion more interesting.

I had a very seamless experience with the tubing rental company - booking was made online and we easily and quickly picked up the tubes and were off. A few notes...get a paddle and a tube with a backrest! You'll be a lot more comfortable....More

Thanks for the review Diane. Sounds like you have come on the August long weekend when sunfest is in town. Lake Cowichan does morph into a party location for the weekend as the concert attracts a lot of the younger crowd and that reflects in...More

If you rent your tube from Tube Shack, the price of shuttle is included. Fifteen minutes or less wait. I wouldn’t walk back carrying a tube.

Earlier definitely. Cooler temperature - less busy. We did the afternoon 1-3:30 and it was lovely much to my surprise but without a breeze it would have been sizzling. Enjoy!
