This waterfall is amazing. We had visited Hardraw force two days previously and kind of wished we’d have just came here instead. Not only is this one free to go to, you can stand right next to it as you please and get a nice spritz if you fancy it!

Honestly such a lovely waterfall, best one I’ve been to yet. The fact there’s no limits and you can just go right beneath it if you wish makes me love it even more. We got speaking to some other day trippers whilst we were there who took photos for us and we did the same for them. It was a lovely atmosphere down there and the water just smells so…fresh, like literally I can’t explain it. Can’t recommend this natural beauty enough!

It is a really nice waterfall, 2 minutes walk from the main road amazingly! Park in the lay-by on the same side of the road as the Pheasant Inn. Right opposite is a small entrance to a public footpath with a few steps into a wood. You can hear the rushing water immediately. Bear right with the path and there it is! There are large stepping stones if you are brave enough but they are slippery! It is a beautiful sight and amazingly quick & easy to get to.

It was definitely worth stopping our journey for.

I was staying at a local campsite so walked to the waterfall. It would’ve been nice if the pub had been open. Apparently it doesn’t open a great deal. The waterfall was tucked behind some houses. You would almost not know it was there but it is a nice waterfall, lovely noise of rushing water.

Hidden gem and hard to find as not well signed posted. Go to Pheasant Inn and on left of road is a lay-by. Park up and opposite is a path that takes you down to the waterfall and small bridge. come out on main road

Lovely to experience this waterfall in an unexpected quiet place.
The sound and scenery is relaxing. Truly felt at one with nature.
Maybe not worth travelling especially to it but nice to visit if nearby.
Not suitable for the less mobile.

You wouldn't believe this lovely little waterfall is so close to the main road. You could drive past it, if you were walking you could be forgiven for thinking it was rustling leaves. Stop at the Pheasant inn, buy a drink... cross the road, down the footpath 20m, turn right and it's there next to the road - beautiful...

I go walking and often go down to the waterfall. It's worth a visit nothing else there but if it's a sunny day it's lovely to stand and watch.

We stumbled across the waterfall by chance,in a secluded area surrounded by trees. The atmosphere was lovely, tranquil and thought provoking. Took some lovely photos on my phone but UN able to upload,my apologies!! It is a little treasure to behold though and lovely just to drop in on. Highly recommended if nature and tranquillity are your scene. =)

opposite the pheasant Inn.. cross the road and you walk what seems to be down a private drive, but then you see wooden gate on the right.. go through it.. it is small but a delight. in a shady dell, and a fairly steep walk down to the river.. perfect for walk after lunch in the pheasant... or after ;) lovely pretty little walk.. well worth the search ..

The waterfall at Harmby is a delightfully well kept secret and it's free ! Across the road from the Pheasant Inn , it is a short walk away .. well kept and ( as with all water falls ! ) impressive in it's natural beauty ..
