A nice spacious pub with plenty of parking and seating outside.
If you like a carvery this is a great place to go as there are never any queues for the food, which can't be said for some other pub chains.
The staff are always friendly and happy to serve you at your table with food and drinks.
It is in need of redecoration as the cloth on many of the seats are threadbare.

This pub closed down a while ago now and has become a Morrisons Convenience Store. Just thought I would advise everyone as would not want people turning up for a pint to find it is a Supermarket Convenience Store

Another pub bites the dust. This is now a Morrisons shop. THis is still on your list as a pub, so I thought I would just tell you.

I found the Victoria Pizza restaurant online as a venue to eat following an afternoon of white water rafting nearby on Good Friday. There was 14 of us. I booked a table online over a month in advance. There was no mention of a set menu required or pre order. Two days before, I had a phone call from 'Freddy', he literally said "what food do you want on Friday"! I was a bit taken aback. I said there was no mention of a pre-order when I made the reservation. He said that someone should have called me. They didn't. No apology. I said that with one day to go it would be difficult and inconvenient to request a pre-order from everyone. He said that if we didn't then the orders would not come out together as their pizza oven only takes 6 pizzas at once. I find this ridiculous as they are a pizza restaurant. We decided to pre-order 5 garlic breads as we knew we would all be very hungry on arrival. This guy wasn't the sharpest and clearly didn't know how to speak to customers. It was a relief on arrival that the waiting staff were a bit more on the ball.
The waitress we met on the day was very helpful, with a prompt the garlic bread arrived and she took a drinks order from us. Shortly after we were told that they had no burgers available, no wedges or chips - as their fryer wasn't working. They knew they had a large table booked, but no effort was made to compensate for their lack of offerings. We all eventually ordered pizzas, which did come at different times but the wait wasn't too long.
A short while later we were told that table service stopped at 5pm, so we would have to get drinks at the bar ourselves. The restaurant had less than 5 other tables in, so I'm sure keeping waiting staff free wouldn't have been that arduous.
Thankfully, despite having 'run out' of the Slice Club discount cards, the waitress honoured the 20% discount on our bill. It was good value, but we would have all preferred to have paid full price for a full menu and full service.
In conclusion, the pizza itself was tasty and good. However a decent restaurant is about more than just the food. This place fails on so many levels. I don't think management have any idea what they are doing. Which is a shame as there aren't many other options nearby for a bite following local activities.

First time I visited The Victoria was on a Saturday evening one night in August at about 7pm with my wife and I plus 2 friends. It was an empty restaurant so plenty of seats available and no waiting – great!
One little thing the manager didn’t tell us, who took our order was...that when we order 3 burger meal was they had run out of buns!
27 minutes past after taking our order before they tell us. 50% of the menu has the need for a burger bun. Bad communication and no real apology.
But it doesn’t stop there. Last Friday night my wife and I thought we would give The Victoria one more chance. We book a table for Six friends a week before and when we arrive have drinks site at the table to eat over half of the items on the menu had SOLD OUT.
We sat at the table almost an hour drinking and they didn’t tell us this important information.
There answer why they had run out of most food was “they had a busy afternoon” WHAT ABOUT ALL THOSE PEOPLE WHO BOOKED TABLES FOR THE EVENING!!!
To sum it up The Victoria is a total waste of time and the management have NO idea how to run the place.

The food is good on occasions, I tend to get the duck and hoisin pizza because you cant really go wrong. The 2 for 10 pound is a really good deal. The staff are absolutely amazing and great characters. The only reason im giving it an average mark is only because its pizza, and pizza can only be so good in my opinionand I feel they should have more variety. But it is by far one of the better places to eat in cheshunt.

Love this place, friendly staff and great fresh food, few beers - what's not to like? Been here with my daughter for a family meal, with friends for a beer after work and most recently for my birthday. Always eat here as the food is fresh and tasty and good value when you use a slice card. The staff are friendly and helpful as well so will defo be back soon!
