A Mediaeval merchants house right on the high street in Coggleshall with a very lovely rambling small wall garden. A real step back in to Tudor times. Interesting history of the wool merchants life. Perfect for just an hour. There's also a tea room which...More

A National Trust property with a beautiful cottage garden. The building is medieval with lots of character. There is a cafe and a shop. There is no car park but you can park outside on the road if lucky.

This really is something of a hidden gem. A fascinating house and gorgeous town garden. But the thing which earns 5 stars is the superb staff. From the reception desk to the lady telling the story of the house and it’s owners to the charming...More
