Historic house with a pretty English country garden. Nice little coffee shop and second hand Bookshop. Interesting and attentive staff make the visit.

We loved this place all ancient bleached wood outside, it is so very old and magnificently preserved. We did not have long so whistle-stop tour, however, we found it enchanting. Lovely gardens too and the team of staff and volunteers were charming.

We spent a nice couple of hours at Paycockes. Smaller than some National Trust properties but just as interesting. As usual, the National Trust guides were very helpful and knowledgeable. Tea in the quaint tea room was nice. Such friendly staff.

Typically English house and garden. We enjoyed meeting the wool spinners who were doing displays in the garden when we visited.
