A family swimming summer vacation day

Very pleasant swimming day, closed of Istanbul, very kind people in this Island. Much more family island, less touristic place , with many armenian inhabitants.

The first of the small islands close to Istanbul is worth a visit. You can get here in 45 minutes- and when you get off the boat you'll immediately start enjoying the quiet, ambient atmosphere. You can rent bikes and ride round the island in maybe 30 minutes. Or - you can turn left and start walking to Kumluk Beach... More

After a long scenic boat ride from Istanbul, we were ready to do some exploring. This island has a gorgeous pebbly beach with the clearest water. The views are incredible. We went for a little paddle, but the water was quite cold, so, wrenching ourselves away from the beach we headed in land and found ourselves climbing steep roads to... More

On our way back from Burgazada we decided to stop here. We noticed immediately there was a lot more hustle and bustle compared to The first stop. We combed the island for a swimming costume for me (so don't forget yours!) the average price was 40TL but the best styles were at a cute crockery store on the main road.... More

last summer, I visited Istanbul and from there, I took a ship to get there, this island is very pretty with blue sky, nice weather and ideal for sunbathe! You can also swim there for free.

I love this island. It's where my father's side comes from. The back of the island is named after my uncle, who spearheaded forest and wildlife conservation. The island has some amazing restaurants, beautiful day clubs by the beach, rolling hills, cute shops, and friendly locals. It's also a ferry ride away from Istanbul that can be super hot and... Great weather, waters, even though there are not too many places to go to the water in Istanbul anymore. We sticked with the pool. The Conrad Hotel was the best! Side seeing and food!

The island itself was very beautiful, peaceful and scenic, perfect for a day trip. Moreover, it was easy to get there, via the ferry from Kabataş, which was also a scenic route. Good restaurants are available, so a lunch near the coast was perfect. The island also inhabited many dogs and cats, so beware if you're scared of them! Overall,... More
