From Kabatas it took a litle over an hour to reach this pristine island. The statue of a famous Turkish poet Sait Faik welcomes you. We hiked to the middle of the island which seemed like the highest point so we could get a better view. We got an amazing view of the surrounding and the free range horses grazing the mountain top. We wnet to the island with the public transportation ferry. Worth doing it this way if you are not in a hurry. We took the fast ferry from kaptash seeport coast 6LT each with one hour to the island.you can take normal ferry if you have istanbul card much cheaper.the island is very beautiful,car free and amazing sea side and restaurants.you can walke arround or rent a cycle or using carreta (hors with carrige) prices start from 40liras .i would recommend cycling.be... We took a ferry from Kabatash in Istanbul for Princess island in the morning. On arrival, You will find shops for Bicycle rentals. We took 2 bicycles for 5 hours in 30 Liras (I think its more negotiable). Good scenery, peaceful environment, well, I must stay, I did the right choice by choosing a day trip to Princess island.
