Had wanted to visit here for some time, the place smells and after seeing the horse and carriages I thought they were poorly treated

Burgazada is by far the least crowded island among the Prince Islands, especially compared to Buyukada, which is the biggest, and Kinaliada, which has more of a city life to it. This one is also the least populated one (less than 2,000), but it draws a lot of people, both tourists and locals, in the summer months. I usually prefer... More

If you want to visit the Islands of the Princes, firstly you should come either Big Island or Burgazada. There is also a museum of Sait Faik Abasiyanik who is one of the greatest Turkish writers. Must be visited! Try the puff dough dessert(Milföy) at "Ergun Patisserie" It's very delicious! Enjoy it.

Burgazada is one of the Princess Islands. Rather quiet and peaceful comparing to infamous Buyukada, you can walk in the gorgeous streets without clashing tourists and horse carriages. The island is famous of being muse to Turkish poets. If you are a lonewolf who does not like crowds this island is your pick in Princess Islands. Enjoy your walk in... More

A 70-minute ferry trip from the Galatta Bridge piers brings you to this quaint island inhabited by a Greek community (take the ferry that goes to Adalar). The pier area on Burgazada is filled with lovely cafes that serve great Greek and Turkish food. Catch a horse-drawn cart and explore the island and stop at various look-out points. You can... More

After all the rave reviews on tripadvisor and in travel books we added Princes islands as a must visit on our week travel to Istanbul. Boy were we disappointed. We took the 7.5TL one way ferry to the island which took about 1.5 hours. On arriving there were loads of ice cream sellers, cafes and overpriced souvenir shops around the... More

This island has amazing views of the Sea of Marmara and many wonderful places to walk around, no cars at all and u can go around by bicycle, walking or rent a carriage driven by horses, but is much better to do it... Burgazada ( Antigoni ) is one of the Princes islands in Istanbul. reaching the island is so easy by ferries and sea bus, and so short distance, takes half an hour or so.. There are several cafes and restaurants on the seafront around the ferry landings. Faytons ( horse cars ) wait for hire beside the park between the piers.... More
