Canary WaterSports, located in Puerto Escala, Puerto Rico de Gran Canaria, is a water sport company specialised in 4 water sport activities; PARASAILING, JET-SKI, JET BOAT and BANANA ride. We offer water sports activities for all ages and experience levels. Due to the current C19 situation, we only offer our activities by APPOINTMENT, for groups with min. 4 people and/or a min. of 3 Jet Skis, taking all the mandatory health & security measures into account. We (a family with 2 small children) had a chance to make 1 hour safari Jet Ski with Canary WaterSports. This was my first experience ever on the Jet Ski and it definitely exceeded my expectations! This machine with 130 HP is a powerful monster on one hand, but very easy to control and navigate on the other hand.
What I liked is that we got a lot of freedom on the water, could go left, right faster or slower. The staff guy on the speed boat was watching us but did not disturb or control our movement on the water so you can feel the machine and enjoy the ride. And one hour is enough to enjoy and to have a long lasting memory.
It is not the cheapest activity, but Jet Skis are expensive everywhere and here you really get for you paid for.
The staff was friendly and nice, thanks Josu!

A brilliant afternoon of parascending & jetskiing with these amazing people! They are a family run business & it shows with their excellent customer service.
While they are rightly serious about safety, they are also relaxed & fun making it such an enjoyable experience.
We went parascending first & even though it is not the first time I have done, the tranquility & spectacular views over Puerto Rico & Amadores were breathtaking.
Next was the jetskiing racing around a track just outside the harbour for 25 minutes. That may not seem like very long but trust me, it is long enough! I did it for an hour on a previous holiday & was broken by the end of it!
They allowed me to look at all the pictures they had taken during both activities before making a decision if I wanted to buy a copy.
Unfortunately, the memory card they used got wet so the parascending pictures didn't come out. HOWEVER, they told me they would take me up again for FREE so they could retake them! A brilliant gesture!
In Dec 2020 I went parascending & jetskiing with a different company on the beach in Mögan & they never replied to any of my e-mails about buying pictures. Luckily I hadn't paid for any at that time so do not give any money until you can see the pictures for yourself.
These guys showed me the pictures then downloaded them onto a memory stick for me to keep. In total there was nearly 200 pictures over both activities which is good value for the €25 cost (which also includes the 16gb memory stick).
A great afternoon with amazing, friendly & fun people. I will be back for more activities with them again when I return to Gran Canaria next Christmas.

First of all, making the reservation was very easy. We just send a whatsapp message and made the appointment.
Mahy came to pick us up at the hotel, which was a 20 minute drive, that was a great service to start with! Mahy is very friendly and was almost like a tourguide during the trip.
The activities itself were very well organized. The paracending was very nice and after that we took the jetski safari for 1 hour. We recommend taking this, since you have more time on the jetski and can really feel the power and speed.
Thank you Mahy and also thank you for your ex wife, for dropping us of at the hotel again! :-)

Done the jet ski safari with my brother today at Canary WaterSports and was an experience of a lifetime. You get to visit parts of the island you cant view on land like caves etc and you always have a marshal following behind you and telling you a little about the area you are in.
Highly recommend anyone capable of doing this to do it you won’t regret it

We paid almost £100 for 2 people to go on a hour long jet ski safari... looking at the pictures before purchase it promised caves and other interesting places... it turned out to be a half hour trip out to sea and a half hour trip back seeing absolutely nothing.. all the time being shouted at by a very angry man in the boat who we had to follow and who was leading us? I'm pretty sure he was the main guy running the show and although we had just spent nearly £200 (as we did the parasailing aswell) he seem almost pissed off that he had to waste his time taking us out?

Canary Watersports scam you by selling 30 mins jet ski- however you only really get 15 mins or less on the jet ski, and they tell you the other 15 mins is explaining safety and transport to and from the jet skis- as they are stored on a platform 100m off shore. What a joke! - For 60€ per a person.
When we complained re the short changing of time, they pretended to offer a refund (they literally flashed cash in our faces, asked how much we wanted back, said the customer matters to them, and then said no I was just trying to see what you wanted) and then insisted this is the service they offer.
Horrible customer service, the worst I’ve ever had to experience. I’d give zero stars if I could.
Scammers. Just bare in mind you will get half of what you pay for and leave disappointed.

For just €60 we could both hop on a double jet-ski for the first time and give it a whirl! We even got to switch so both could have a ride. The staff were very fun and happy and took loads of photos of us on their digital camera. Unlike most tourist attractions, they didn't ask €9 to print one photo of us but instead offed ALL of the photos (of which i think there were about 90) on a memory stick for just €20! Great idea and we of course took them and so glad we did. These pictures were taken from our phones of the hotel TV with the USB stick in so that's why they look a bit off.
Would give this a go if you fancy trying to jet-ski, I think our second time we would choose the safari for a bit more money but more time riding and see some cool stuff.

Husband and 16 year old daughter had a great experience Parasailing yesterday while I comfortably rode in the boat. All staff were friendly and entertaining, yet safety conscious, informative, and professional. Before we left, a Thumb drive with 84 pictures of our experience was gently offered to us for just 20 euros. There was NO sales pressure — just excellent service! Muchas Gracias!

Saw this on a previous visit to GC and decided to try it on our next holiday. Great service, friendly staff. There was a minor issue with our original time slot & these guys really went the extra mile to sort it out. We’ll definitely pay them a visit on our next holiday.

We chose the combo of parascending and Jet Ski, its a great deal! Husband very nervous as not too keen on heights, but he loved it!! You get the speedboat experience and the parascending in the same experience. The staff are very safety conscious and very, very friendly. The parascending is so tranquil, up there the breeze is beautiful, the air is quiet, the views are phenomenal. The jet ski tandem was fabulous! Both of us nearly 60 years of age and after today, wished we had discovered some years earlier. Thank you Canary Water Sports .com we had an amazing time and will visit you all again very soon. Keep on smiling, you're all amazing.❤️

Hello, is there anywhere you can keep a bag with your belongings in whilst you go on the jetskis? I'm guessing its not a good idea to take your phones and wallets on the jet ski with you.

Hi Badger, the maximum flight weight is 200kg. However, the possibility to fly with the max weight is also depending on the wind force of that current moment. If you are approaching the max weight, we'd advice you to give our centre a call on the day you wish to fly out and we'll be able to answer you more concrete. Thank you

There is every chance you will be dipped into the water at the beginning of your parascend, the four couples on my trip were, so it wouldn't be safe to take your phone. If you had a friend on the boat also they could take pictures of you.
The crew take pictures of everyone and you can buy all they take, around fifty they told me, given on a memory stick for €20 for one activity or €25 for two activities. My pictures were good, much better than I could have taken as they had a really good camera

I kindly suggest you to not to stay in Puerto Rico! Go anywhere else but not there cos there is nothing else than residences! Cockroaches (it’s full) no restaurant is good and the beaches are not that nice! Go to the north much better!
