We were recommended this little place by friends who live locally. It's a real little gem, with a lovely view across the Panzano valley and, inside, some interesting art works, some of them very ancient. Peaceful, timeless spot.

Worth a quick visit particularlyif you're staying in Panzano - a nice example of a local church but not as splendid as some others in the region.

This church was a beautiful and Quaint place of worship. It conjures up so many visions and thoughts of the Old World.

This is a pretty church, and if you are already doing something in Panzano, it is worth a visit. It is located at the very top of the hill on the main street through town, so a pretty hard walk if you have parked on...More

That people can retain a lifestyle so fundamentally sound and relatively undistracted for as long as is mirrored in their simple yet sturdy local church seems both amazing and inspirational. We visit the calm; their life is infused in it. Here similar establishments share in...More

Panzano is in the center of Chianti and San Leolino is an example of a small church dating back about 900 DC at least. It's small of course, but it is characteristic of the period. The view from the front toward the Chianti valley is...More

In the summer, Mass is at 5pm on Saturday and noon on Sunday. This may change in the fall and it would be good to check.
