Suzie and I spent 2 1/2 hours conversing and tasting wine with Stefano, a wonderful philosopher of life and an expert on wines. This was the highlight of our four day visit to Panzano and Tuscany. He took us through 27 different wines, explaining the wines and giving us a positive perspective on how to make the most out of... More

In May we spent a day touring the Chianti region from Siena and visited many towns and wineries. Our favorite stop was this little wine shop in Panzano. The owner, Stefano Salvadori told us about his wines, a little about his family and his recent career change. Stefano explained wine in a unique and interesting manner and in general entertained... We've also taken total strangers (that we've met along the way), there, so... More

We chose to go to Chianti at the spur of the moment and landed up at Accademia del Buon Gusto. We took the bus from Florence and in an hour we were at Panzano. Stefano enthralled us with his anecdotes whilst we did some wine tasting. Lovely day spent. A must go destination. Don't miss lunch at Dario Doc.
