This is a small museum showing mainly sacred art. We enjoyed having it to ourselves on the occasion of our visit. We were able to take things in at our own pace and spend time contemplating the pieces we liked most. The staff people were very welcoming and the building in and of itself is interesting.

Went to the museum the day after the Uffusi in Siena, so a massive change in size. We were the only ones there, so it gave us quiet time to view and reflect on the history displayed over the few hundred years covered. Interesting spot to see if you are in Buonconvento.

We are not great art buffs, but this little museum of sacred art was great. It had collected art from local churches, some of which had closed. We managed to get in with tickets from the Agriculture museum. We think they have a reciprocal arrangement. Only open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday when we visited. Good value for money!

This place is tiny. It's just a 19th century palazzo in Buonconvento, a pretty but tiny little town which we passed through twice while on our cycling holiday. A nice welcome and if like me you like mediaeval stuff then this place gets 7/10, just for the first three things in room 1. If you don't, you might find it a little diverting but nothing to write home about The house has a liberty bathroom and liberty designs, which you can see. It's a free museum ( I wish theyd charge) and you start on the second floor which can feel a bit odd. Some absolutely stunning early mediaeval crosses and icons and sacred art from local churches and I really enjoyed this. And an equal amount of much later stuff
