The statue itself is not so WOW, but take the stairs to the sea and you'll find a great viewpoint of the coast.

A monument to the composer of "Volare". It is a celebration of the Italian life. Great pictures of my family. Wonderful views

This statue has been built in front of the sea so it's little damage by the wind and other weathering but once you are below it you start feeling the atmosphere that has inspired the Italian singer. The city around does the rest.

It's great people-watching at this statue, which is in a very lively square. The statue itself is quite impressive. Polignano is such a small town, it's easy to see all the sites... and this is worth the walk.

Although we knew the song, we did not know that it was a Eurovision Song Contest entry or that amazingly it DIDN'T win! This statue commemorates a man forgotten to time except for here, but a song that everyone knows and sings! You MUST see...More

We were lucky enough to be told about the statue by the lady who managed our apartment in Polignano a Mare. This is an absolutely superb photo opportunity for visitors to this beautiful town, affectionately termed ‘the pearl of the Adriatic’. Once you know the...More
