We visited the church while exploring Gravedona. It is square inside, not a typical cross based architecture of most churches you must be used to. Some remnants of frescos on the walls. Some have a bit of a relief to them if you take a closer look. We were lucky to enjoy the place on a couple of occasions. July this year there are some concerts happening each week and we enjoyed the first one with a small symphonic orchestra. The acoustics is great. If you’re here this July, check the north lake come website to see what’s on. Definitely worth going. Ps. And don’t miss the church next door! :-)…

The original church with it's tower is really interesting. You can pick out reused pieces of Roman masonry above the door. But make sure you visit the crypt of the adjoining church, it's well worth a visit. You can see parts of the older church below the one in use today and again, re used marble and masonry from much older buildings.…

Magnificent church from early middle ages, with a beautiful prospect of Lake Como. The town of Gravedona is stunning, especially along the waterfront where there are a range of restaurants and bars. There is a good tourist office in the Square. Best cafe/bar is at the far end towards the large Cardinals mansion…
