- JernejaSlovenia134 contributionsGreat experience for F1 fansIf you love Formula 1 you have to do a tour of the track. They take you through all the rooms - FIA race control room, briefing room, cool-down room, podium - you can actually stand in it. And you can also take a drive around the track. In my experience it was definitely worth it. I had a bit of a hard time finding the entrance as some of them were closed due to a storm the previous day but I got there at the end and I’m glad I did.Visited July 2023Traveled soloWritten May 13, 2024
- Cameron972London, United Kingdom181 contributionsAutodrome ..not quiteWe decided to walk from Monza station to the autodrome via the park. Would have been scenic but there was a downpour and neither of us had umbrellas so we got drenched. Nightmare getting a taxi around the autodrome area so we ended up getting a bus. Well the first bus only accepted cash so we had to get off and then second bus couldnt break the note. Then the bus app didnt work either. Ended up finally getting an uber back to Milan. All in all still turned out to be a fun memorable experience.Visited March 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten July 5, 2024
- PoppyManchester, United Kingdom118 contributionsGreat tour, lots to see!We had a fantastic day in Monza and really enjoyed the Circuit Experience. A few top tips: 1. We weren’t able to book in advance via the website - all the places were greyed out so we weren’t sure if the Autodrome would even be open. We went to Monza anyway, hoping to at least see the track from the park, and were able to buy tickets from the Infopoint upon arrival. 2. We LOVED the tour. The track tour was closed as they were preparing for an upcoming Grand Prix but the experience tour was great. We saw the Hospitality Building, VIP seats, media room, race control, and podium. The tour lasted an hour. 3. Monza park was lovely. We walked from Monza Train Station to the Autodrome and it was a LONG way in 30C heat. It took well over an hour. We got the z221 bus back to the station afterwards (and a train back to Como). Public transport was really easy to use. 4. Monza town is picturesque with lots of churches and historical buildings. Well worth a look while you’re in the area. 5. The Autodrome itself has lots of open areas and places you can go wandering to see more. Even though the track tour was closed we felt that we saw lots from the podium and by walking in the park.Visited August 2024Traveled with familyWritten August 16, 2024
- Abby PAsbury Park, New Jersey68 contributionsExciting but chaoticWe came from Milan. We had read horror stories about cancelled trains and long lines so we decided to splurge and get a private car. It’s a long walk to the entrance of the track. There was no real organization so we were packed in with a thousand other people in an outdoor area in 96 degree heat. Finally, the line started moving. It took well over an hour to get to the track between walking and waiting. We had excellent seats in Grandstand 26. Getting out and back to our ride was much easier as we chose not to go on the track after the race.Visited September 2024Traveled with friendsWritten September 15, 2024

Where to start. First of all organisation was a complete farce. If it was not for a young lady who actually does her job properly at milano centrale it would have been impossible for us to get there.
Let's talk about the long lines just to buy tokens and after that another verrrry long line to buy a bottle of water (if you're lucky enough to even get one) and also another verrryyyy long line to buy food.
It was also a big fail with the boards saying where the grandstand was accessable from. After almost 3 hrs walking we were told that they closed a part where people used to cross and we was at the chicane before the lesmo corners! So we had to walk almost all the way back and cross the other side and walk the same distance we walked before and more!
when it comes to the seating. We spent €1200 on our seats to find out that we have a huge scaffolding blocking the view of the whole straight after curva grande.
The train situation getting out of monza to milano centrale was the last farce! We spent from 4.30pm to 20.32 (yes exact minutes!) to arrive at our sort of room.
Monza is our favorite track but this whole thing was disorganised and should be avoided! Will never come here again unless i have the f1 experience. The organisers should give half the money back to people because it was not at par to other races i visited. They should be ashamed and fired asap!

We took the tour (only way to see the track). Unfortunately that day the bikes were not available so we ended up paying EUR 54 for my two young kids and myself for the option with the van. We walked to the track, went into the van and drove the track. Not a lot of explaining or nice stories that could have made the experience a bit special. Then we had to wait for a second group to have finished their lap but we could not even go into the area of the pits or go on the podium. So no ´behind the scenes’ whatsoever and at the end there was no goodbye or thank you so we did not even realize that it was the end of the tour! EUR 54 for a lap in a van is waaaay overpriced, pretty much a scam indeed...

A truly terrible experience. This track seems to have no idea how to handle 130,000 race fans despite, apparently, having been in business for 100 years. You'd have thought by now they might have established more than just two access points. And when I say access points I mean all access - fans, security, emergency, teams, drivers, hospitality - everyone has to use the same route, even helicopter arrivals! Naturally this leads to some delays, crowding and frustration.
To add to the frustration all transactions inside the circuit have to be done using tokens that you have to buy separately. So you queue for an hour to get tokens then queue for another hour to buy a bottle of water, for €1.50. And one hour was a minimum queueing time.
There's more I could say but none of it's positive. Suffice to say I won't be back and I won't recommend this track to anyone.

4 gates for over 100,000 overpaying spectators!! Appalling. Then when we got to the gate they confiscated our water bottles and it was 30degrees and mostly unsheltered. Also our phone backup batteries where taken at the gate. You couldn’t buy anything unless you purchased ‘tokens’ which was another 40 minutes in a queue as the ‘app’ never worked for anyone. All the queues intertwined so it was chaos and extremely frustrating as rude people would just sneak in.
I’ve been to over 20 F1 Grand Prix’s in 5 different countries and this was by far the worst I’ve ever been treated. It was a case of take our money and then they couldn’t care about our experience after that. Monza race organisers should be removed from their respective jobs.
As much as I love Italy and the passionate Italian people (I’m British) I will never go back to Monza.

Having been in 2015, this year was a total disappointment.
If watching F1, avoid this circuit if you can.
The circuit have introduced a token-based system for buying any food and drink once inside the circuit. This leads to 1hr+ queue's simply to buy token, followed by another 30-45min to then by food or drink. You are better off heading out of the track to the McDonalds, having a few beers and some food and then heading back, you would still easily save 45mins, and it more relaxed.
Then you have the Fan Zone, if you can call it that. It's a few temporary shops of overpriced merchandise (Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, and the Red Bull Ring have a much better fan zone). Buy any merchandise online before you go from the brand and save at least half the price.
Organisation is very Italian, but that was to be expected. Avoid asking anyone in a yellow vest a question, as they generally have no idea. Simply search out a fan coming from your direction of travel, they will have a better clue of what's going on.
Far too few toilet's, and those they do have are in a terrible condition from Friday onwards.
About the only good things going for this track is the atmosphere, which this year was doused out in the last 5 laps of the race.
Not one I would return to.

Firstly, IF DRIVING.. follow signs to Servicio parking /Fan Zone. I could not find any information on the website about this so I hope that helps you. Easy peasy then. Park and go to shop/information. We booked online for the 'track' tour which was time slotted for 1230. We got there before 1215 (not wanting to be late) and took the upgrade to track 'experience' for only another €5. This was a good deal BUT we had to wait till 1.30pm for that 10 minute drive in a minivan with a small group..which was actually good fun AND then wait around til 2.30pm for the tour. This included a visit to the vip boxes with views of the track, the press room and the race control room as well as getting onto the high podium... I found this fun and there were plenty of photo opportunities too. The guide was very knowledgable and explained the history of the track along the corridors (photos) between the visiting areas. We did not get down to the track as they were testing cars but we were intrigued by the speed of them so that wasn't a huge deal for us. We filled the time by walking round other free access areas and shop/cafe. Great clean toilets and free water top zone 👌
Do go..100%..but be aware the time you book isn't the starting time of tours and allow yourself about 3 hours to complete the tour from original time slot

The most disorganised, chaotic and stressful F1 Grand Prix I've ever been to. Endless queues, toilets always dirty when we used them, transport to and from the track a total mess. Bizarre food and drink token system with food and drink running out at Stand 8 on race day, so no ability to spend tokens. Also, Stand 8 had its own security which meant you needed two bag searches every time you wanted to visit another area of the track and a bag search every time you left your seat to buy more food and drink!
Staff were confiscating random items each day. Bottle caps confiscated from own drinks brought in yet once you were in the circuit you could buy plastic bottles with caps on(!?) And on Friday I had my Flask confiscated, because it could be used as a weapon 🙄 only to get into the circuit and see that the Monza shop was selling their own flasks...🤦🏻♀️ Mamma mia...
Didn't want to return for qualifying or race day it was so bad 😅 Felt less like a nice weekend and more like a hectic commute. Only good thing was the on-track action. If you want a great F1 experience I'd highly recommend Singapore or Silverstone.

there was so little information online about the Monza track on a non race weekend, we walked for hours through the park before we arrived at the track to then realise there is such little signage as to how to enter into the track.
We eventually figure it out after talking to a local and got in and then realised that after much searching online there is actually no museum of speed at the track as stated online so that was really annoying, then the cafe was shut even though it said online it was open and we arrived at 2pm, then one of the shops were shut and the car driving experience was shut also.
The one shop that was open we went in and the worker looked at us like we were crazy for asking about a museum even though it clearly used to be there as there is info about it online.
We then asked if we could pay to get onto the track and she said no tours as the track was getting resurfaced (although again it said it was open online), we then asked for a tour of the hospitality buildings of the track and we had to wait 2 hours for a tour and we were on the last tour which was at 4:30 even though the track is open till 7pm so don’t arrive after 4:30pm. Once on the tour the tour guide was really lovely and did a great job, was just a shame the lack of correct information about this online as we traveled for the museum for it to just not exist.
The tour times also weren’t published online so we couldn’t have even planned to arrive for these.
If you visit be prepared for a long walk and bring food with you.

We are a family of motor racing fans and a highlight of our trip to Italy was visiting the Monza circuit. We did the cycle tour of both the old and new tracks which was such good fun and amazing being able to see the original F1 track. Our tour guide was delightful and the experience was one we will all remember.

Monza is a fantastic F1-experience that I would recommend to anyone pondering which track they should visit. We had GA but due to Covid (Monza GP 2021) we were assigned seats anyways at the inner Parabolica. The seats were essentially concrete blocks but for the price we paid that was far more than acceptable.
The atmosphere is special and unmatched, with the roaring sounds of the engines echoing through the town and park you walk through if you park at the official F1 parking lots.
Then again, you’re in Italy so you have all the opportunities to add a few extra days and explore the areas near Milano. I recommend Lake Como and Lake Garda.
But all in all, a fantastic experience and with the duel between Max and Lewis ending up the way it did and a double McLaren podium, I don’t think Monza 2021 will ever be topped for me.
5/5 highly recommend.

How did you organise the cycling tour of Monza please? I can't see a tour operator, how to check the days it operates or to book it.
Many thanks
