    Great experience!
Climbing Skellig Michael was phenomenal - definitely one of the highlights of Ireland. Skipper Derek and Seanie both gave great narration of the landmarks and wildlife on the boat ride over and made sure everyone was doing OK with the sea travel - two of the friendliest blokes you'll meet. Highly recommend booking with these guys, they made sure it was a great day!

    Incredible Trip!
This was without a doubt one of the best tours I’ve ever done! 6 of my friends and I went the June Bank Holiday weekend and had the most wonderful time! We learned so much about the Skelligs and were incredibly lucky to make the landing with the fantastic weather we had. The climb up Skellig Michael was steep but manageable and we received excellent information before we left the boat so we could do it safely! The views from the top were amazing and the puffins were incredibly cute! The crew on the boat were such good! Overall I could not recommend Skellig Rock Cruises enough! Such a brilliant and memorable trip! Thank you so much!

Will def. be back & will have the kids with me next time!

    Skelligs Rock Trip
Great adventure and very beautiful location. The water was a bit choppy, so it can be a bit tough on folks that have motion sickness, but the crew was great. If you're in this area of Ireland, the islands are a must see, but I wouldn't book the trip unless you're able to climb to the monastery. The view from up there is the crown jewel. The trip was well worth the time and money, and the crew and captain were great.

The BEST Life Experience (So Far)!
We had an amazing experience with our captain & crew from start to finish. Great weather and wonderful travel companions on the boat. Seanie Murphy provided so much history and information about Skellig Michael, Portmagee, the wildlife (both air & water wildlife). Our captain had a great eye for dolphins, puffins resting on the water and the best views all the way around the island. We cannot say enough great things about this crew and the experience they offer that is unlike any other you will have! Thanks from Lisa & Dorsey in Texas!

    Incredible!
Amazing. Great captain and crew. Voyage was too flight. Puffins and rock were truly incredible. Captain toured the islands and took us into some tight passages with great skill. Couldn’t be better!

    Great trip
Thoroughly enjoyed our trip! Me and my mum had a great time and enjoyed the boat journey. It was quite a bumpy journey which is to be expected and sometimes the landing tours are cancelled depending on the conditions so we were so pleased to get on the island. The crew were very friendly and gave us waterproofs to wear and information on the journey. My husband tends to get travel sick so didn't really enjoy the boat but he was really well taken care of by the crew. The journey was much smoother for us on the way back. Despite finding the journey difficult he was glad to get the chance to land on skellig. We got to see some puffins and learnt about the history of the island from one of the guides. One of the skellig rock cruises staff climbed to the top too. So felt like even on the island they were looking after us. Thanks very much! Would be happy to travel with this company again!

    Eco cruise
Derek our skipper was honest that the misty conditions might hamper our experience but in the end we saw thousands of gannets on an atmospheric little Skellig . We didn’t see to the top of Skellig Michael but all the same saw the steps that the has been cut into the rock my the monks and got a real feel for this place. Derek was knowledgeable and humorous

A must do if you are in Ireland! Seanie and Derek from Skellig Rock certainly made the trip memorable, making sure all 12 of us in the boat were well taken care of.

We also chanced upon birds feeding in the sea, and boy, what an experience! We soon realised there was a school of dolphins hanging around, along with a couple of minke whales showing off.. we are right in the midst of a marine feeding frenzy which lasted a good 30 minutes!

The 2 Skellig Michael Islands were also spectacular, and we were lucky to see the whole colony of gannets circling the island, before the winter migration.

All of these wildlefe would not have been possible without the acute sharpness of Seanie/Derek!

Derek and Seanie are very knowledgeable so you not only go to Skellig Michael but you also get a history lesson on Little Skellig, Valentia Island and the surrounding areas. They also search out wildlife - grey seals, gannets, etc. The very best thing though is how well they took care of everyone. When we docked, Seanie decided to hike the steps up to the top, for some exercise, but on his way up, he noticed a girl that was struggling in her descent, and he hurried up to her, and then he walked her all the way back down, just to turn back around and start his ascent again. The entire time with a smile on his face. I also get motion sickness and had taken tablets before the ride over (which was pretty smooth) and then again before our trip back (which was not at all smooth). Both Derek and Seanie kept checking on me multiple times throughout both trips, to ensure that I was ok and to give me tips on getting through them. They provided rain gear or fisherman’s gear (jackets & pants) to everyone who was exposed, for the wet ride back (it was not raining but the waves were rough) and then let people have a turn at steering the boat for a photo op. Well worth the cost and I would do it again in a heartbeat. The guy who won’t leave someone stranded on the steps is the guy I’m giving my money to hands down.

First rate service, very accommodating host and the onboard crew made it all easy. Booking process was easy too, would have no hesitation in recommending. The actual visit was an experience and I'm very glad I got to go. Dress appropriately and listen to the safety briefing and you'll be grand

Derek and Mike with Skellig Rock Cruises went out of their way to ensure we had a great boat trip out to Skellig Michael. Highly recommend. And Seanie and Mary were excellent in keeping us informed on the weather and the status of the tour pre-trip.

Seanie and Derek are fantastic everything about Sea Quest is superb !. I will always travel with them and can’t recommend them highly enough !. They are true professionals with a very human face (a very rare quality these days). It is clear from the moment that you meet them that they are at one with the unique environment that they inhabit, their love for it is truly infectious and will make you want to return to this very special place. If you are fortunate enough to have the chance to travel with them I would strongly urge you to seize it you won’t be disappointed !.

Our trip to Skellig with Seannie and Derek was by far the highlight of our trip! From the get-go, they were extremely friendly and well-informed. They answered all of our questions about the area, the wildlife, the filming of Star Wars, etc. On the way back into port, they spotted diving gannets and took the boat over, where we were able to watch a feeding frenzy of gannets, dolphins, and minke whales! We feel so lucky to have done our trip with them and would recommend their tour group in a heartbeat. Thanks for taking such great care of us! (Taylor, Chandler, Olga, and Paige)

If you are looking to see Skellig Michael, Skelligs Rock Cruises is who you want to book with. I will never forget my day.

While on the boat I got to see seals, dolphins and different species of birds. That was thanks to our boat’s captains getting us close enough to snap pictures and tell us about the wildlife. Our group even got to boat over to see the small Skellig where there were 10’s of thousands of Gannets. This was all just getting to the min attraction - Skellig Michael.

Once on Skellig, I had a wonderful experience. I got amazing views and I learned a lot. This again was thanks to the guys at Skellig Rock Cruises. One of our guides made sure I wasn’t missing any major sites.
