Professional well-run day trip

Brendan runs a professional boat service to Skellig Michael, with a nice personal touch. Would recommend!

We had been looking forward to this trip as the highlight of the holiday, and on arrival at the port we were encouraged by good organization (they knew who they were expecting) and buoyancy aids were issued to all passengers. I was not expecting such a small boat to go so fast, but once he got out of the estuary... More

Took the boat with Brendan. Very accommodating, friendly, timely, and safe trip on a day when the waters were quite choppy. Bring motion sickness meds, not sure you need them, take them anyways. Highly recommend a visit to Skellig, quite amazing, and go with Casey's!

We took the trip around the Skellig Island but did not get on the island due to high tide the trip itself was worth it it took approx 40 minutes to reach the Skellig and it is advisable to book in advance during the high season as the boats to the island can be fully booked due the small size... Travelled to the Skelligs with Brendan's boat in challenging enough conditions. They displayed excellent seamanship in ensuring we were comfortable and successfully landed us on Skellig Michael which is worth the trip in any weather! Highly recommended!!

Like most people, we were wondering what sort of experience lay ahead with our scheduled trip to Skellig Michael. Our B&B owner had recommended Brendan Casey's boats for the trip, and we were in for a penny/in for a pound. The other reviews we had read, were all good so were we fine with it. The boat was fine, the... More

The boat ride to the island went fine. We left on time and were picked up on time. We were given life jackets and rain gear to make sure we didn't get too wet. Casey’s seemed to be a reliable company.

Brendan Casey was a phenomenal host. I struggle with fear of heights and he held my hand up the six hundred steps encouraging me along the way. After the guide finished at the top of the monastery, Brendan escorted me back down. I'm not sure I could have completed that climb without him.

Booked our trip about five months in advance and prayed for good weather. Fortunately, the day was beautiful. But as others have noted, there is the possibility of weather preventing safe landing on Skellig Michael. Casey's is a first-class company. The captain and his crew were very safety-conscious. After our time on the big rock, they also took us by... More
