Another great beach in this part of Crete. Well looked after. Not over crowded and space to enjoy yourself . A real good find.

Ligaria Beach, or Paralia Ligaria, stretches east of the main beach of Agia Pelagia. Because of its location, far from the tourist center of the village, it is less crowded and usually preferred by locals. It has sun loungers and umbrellas, and it's great for...More

Small bay (like 500-700m) , very nice quiet blue waters, you may find 3 restaurants/bars, buildings with apartments for rent, 1 supermarket, diving center with boats / kayaks for rent. Very nice place for relax, not super-crowded as other places.

We visited in April so may have been the time of year but only two beach side restaurants were open both of which were not very good. The supermarket was also closed, there was no where to rent sun loungers either.

Sandy beach, clean. Chaise lounge costs 3 € per day. It is important to have beach shoes, because the bottom places with stones.

We didn't see anyone fishing at Ligaria beach but there was a dive business that also offered charter fishing at the small beach to the south.
