The car collection is amazing. We spent a little over 7 hours here and still missed half a floor of cars. This place have everything. Planes, tractors, military vehicles, steam locomotives and more. Here You can look inside a Tupolev Tu-144 and a Concorde, and...More
The Sinsheim Technik museum has a amazing collection of cars, other vehicles, and aircraft.
The first hall includes American classic and motor sports cars, agricultural, and military vehicles. The second hall has European cars and motorcycles. There are aircraft, marine, and railway exhibits in amongst...More
We went here after visiting Technik Museum Speyer and were a bit disappointed. The Speyer museum had more planes you could enter and somehow it had more to see. A plus for a chance to go inside a Concorde, although the ventilation inside could be...More
the technical description are very limited. So if u are interested too see the objects exposed, then u are here right, but if u want to learn about, then is better u search for another technical museum. They also have an excellent IMAX 3D hall.
I visited Sinsheim museum in August. The amount of world-unique exhibitions here is absolutely impresive. There are plenty of cars, motorbikes, militaries, planes, engines and other super cool stuff. My favourite exhibitions are: Panther tank (the best attraction in the world in 2013 year), Concorde...More
Close to the highway, located on large halls. A lot of old nice cars, military and other technique. You can spend there some 4 hours and will have the feeling that you have to come again. The planes placed on the roof invite you to...More
We had a great day. Lots to see and do, especially going on board Concorde. Restaurant prices v reasonable for good food. Only thing to be aware of is that some of the extra activities for children cost a Euro for entry, eg the slides...More
It really took me through the past, to see how the Western world had been developed and prepared for wars and eventualities. The equipment are well taken care of and most facilities work. I even go to enter the Concorde and some war aircrafts, played...More
The whole family liked this place. Planes, trains and automobiles are present there and a great WWII display of armor and uniforms. Keep in mind that most of the planes and playgrounds are outside so pick a good weather day to visit and skip the...More

Hi Jane, some recommendations: You needn't reserve tickets for the museum. But if you're planning to use the accommodation option of the museum(s) you may need to reserve. You will be offered some packages too (with the museum tickets). We bought the biggest package with all options (2 museums, Speyer Dom, accommodation, cinemas, info package etc.) whick cost us, 2 adults + 1 child (3 yrs) total 172 EUR.
Keep in mind that you will need lots of 1 - 2 EUR change for some machines operating with coins - recommended.
There is also Fördertechnik Museum right behind the place, it is small but recommended especially with children. Ticket price is reasonable, about 7- 8 EUR each.
You shold try the delicious Turkish food in Sinsheim, Imbiss Tekman Döner in the main street of Sinsheim (HauptStrasse). Their 100% handmade PIDE is perfect.
As an option, just opposite the road you will find Rhein-Neckar Arena (Hoffenheim Stadium) where you can make a short visit.
And finally, make sure you have enough batteries/charge and memory for your camera.
