Heavy climb to the lake, suitable only for fit people. Two options to climb just after the Bergerie de Melo : on the left side (longer, but easier climb through the forest) and on the right (using ladders and chains, but with nicer views).
Very uneven path up via some fixed chains and ladders. I have occasional vertigo but found it bearable.
Well worth the effort once you reach the lake. I even had a swim and jump in off the rocks.
