Great surf school and the owner Germain really is a great and helpful guy who gave us plenty of tipps not only to surf but also about the surrounding spots to visit. The boards are in good shape and plenty.
However, the wave itself is rather mellow and on the small side. Ideal for beginners. If you look for bigger, nore powerful waves, you need to make your way down to the Basque country

I wrote a review three years ago - nothing has changed, unlike so much in Soulac. Germain and JP are true pros, rigorous and reliable. Excellent equipment, excellent teaching and an excellent spot for beginners and intermediates.

A proper surfing school with good equipment, good, no-nonsense instructors and the perfect location: flat, not too much current and regular waves. My daughter began last year and has made swift progress. Not, however, for posers or time-wasters: the instructors don't take any prisoners if you don't make an effort.

My family had a great experience at OSC. Our ten-year-old had never surfed before but was standing up on his first day, thanks to the coaching from Germain and JP. Even Dad improved! They take coaching seriously, but are also fun, and they are great with kids. We met German, Dutch and Spanish families who were also very happy.

Experienced and dedicated surfteachers...
Resulted in fast progress.
Safety is very important for them.
They are great with children.
Definitly de best surfschool around the area!!

I highly recommend Surf lessons with Germain and his team at OSC Ecole de Surf! Germain is a wonderful instructor with a great sense of humor. He teaches you to surf safely, knowledgeably and confidently! He is not only an expert surfer but ALSO a body-boarder. So if you think surfing might be too much, then give body-boarding a go. He has a 9 yr old daughter who also surfs.
I am 59 years old. I never surfed a day in my life. I booked in 4 days of surf lessons with Germain. With Germain's help, I was able to get up on the board and surf waves on days 1-2. On days 3 & 4, I was able to get up consistently!

It is 4 years now my 3 kids and I take lessons with OSC and I can observe great results. My kids love it and cannot wait to come back every year: the team (Germain and JP & his magic bathing suit collection) is nice, fun, encouraging and very professional, also carefully reminding about safety rules. I do recommend (and also to book at least a few days in advance as the place is rather popular now).
Also various boards and equipments to rent: maybe better to call a little before to know the best time to come in order to get quick, quiet & good support.
