Tour itself was nice. However, the staff needs to be professional. Among the staff, there were two females. They should behave and dress appropriately as tour guides. This is a family event that you are meant to enjoy and not feel awkward about. They were wearing thong-like bathing suits and would flaunt their bodies by swimming to the bottom of the reef so everyone can see them. This is very unprofessional and made everyone really uncomfortable. This was even discussed with the rest of the group that was snorkeling with us and they agreed that it was very inappropriate. If they want to dress like that on their own time on a public beach - fine that's on them, but not when we are paying for an expensive tour. The least we expect is for the staff to dress and conduct themselves professionally. A proper dress code should be implemented.

the agency and staff is well organized and professional. nice comfy boat as well, with snacks and water on board. unfortunately we didnt see any whales. it was a shame because we booked the tour to see whales. We asked the tour operater in advance and they told us its a good time to see them. But when we arrived they told us the chance might be 50/50, which is hardly good I would say. So I would highly recommend to do the tour in august/september, if seeing whales is your priority.

Fantastic day on the water with these guys. Safe and secure to start with, which was good due to a couple of elderly people in our group. Very knowledgeable and interested in answering all of our questions. We saw a mother with her young baby, close enough to appreciate the wonder of this site, yet at a distance that you felt comfortable not disturbing them. Certainly the whales seemed to enjoy it too, giving us a fantastic view of their magnificent size as they leapt from the water. Thank you for a great trip, and a special hello to Julio, who helped us restart our car!!! What a great day

We had an absolutely amazing day. The Cano island snorkeling trip with my family (husband and 3 kids: 13, 11, 6) was the highlight of our whole trip to Costa Rica. We all loved it. This is a family run business. When we booked the trip we spoke with some guests leaving the boat who said they had had a wonderful time, and the guide was very friendly in describing the typical experience. On our day we were able to go with the owner himself, Luis, who is very knowledgeable and kind. He is from Uvita and operates 6 boats and started the business about 20 years ago. With respect to the previous poster, you may want to eat breakfast beforehand, but we enjoyed coffee and banana bread. On the way to and from the island we were so lucky to see humpback whales and a bride whale. It was magical. The captain let us stay and enjoy them. We also motored alongside spotted and bottle nosed dolphins. At the island we snorkeled over the reef using the tour’s equipment. We enjoyed the fish and saw turtles. The guide was accommodating when my youngest wanted to get picked up and rest on the boat. Luis’ wife had packed us salads and burritos. All in all we were out from about 7:30-4:00 and all enjoyed every minute! I highly recommend booking with this company.

Thank you very much for the trust to our company, Julio de feels happy that his family will enjoy this beautiful experience as it is Caño Island. Caño Island tour is one of the best places in Costa Rica for snorkeling.

We went with our 10 and 11 year olds. Fernando was our guide and we had 2 boat drivers that were wonderful! It started with a welcome with homemade banana bread and juice and water. We walked a short walk to the beach where the boat was waiting. Our concierge from Tulemar in Manuel Antonio recommended this place as they had been seeing whales in Uvita and not yet in Manuel. This did not disappoint. We saw 2 mamas and their babies. One of the babies put on a show. Fernando was a wealth of knowledge and you can tell truly cared about the conservation of the whales. It was too rocky to snorkel but we were able to swim in the ocean and then they even had private showers to rinse when we returned to their office. I highly recommend this company as the boats were new and beautiful and the people wonderful.
