Lovely beach

A lovely beach with the famous Whale Tail outcrop which is only available at low water. Plenty of space , palms trees up to the beech give a lot of privacy . Perfect

Beautiful beach. Warm clear water. Gorgeous views. Friendly people. Cool lizards. Would be great surfing if timing was right. A little bit expensive to get into the park. Parking was $4.00 and park entrance was $12 for 2 people then $20.00 for my husband to rent a small surfboard.

breathtaking photo opportunities and unusual black sand beach! Huge wide open and empty beach! Never seen such a big and empty beach.

Based in the National park the forms the marine reserve the walk along the beach to the Whales tail is stunning. Do the walk out as the tide is receding. It's easily doable. Water goes no more than waist deep and the waves come at you from both left and right as you walk out. It's a sort of mini... More

This is a must see for sure. Entrance fee is 6.00 US dollars plus maybe 3.00 for a parking spot somewhere. If you do go on a Whale watching tour parking will be included at least it was for our tour.

Amazing little beach very clean hardly anybody on it, great to take your pets or just go chill for the day! The surf is pretty sweet, not too rough and the riptides not too strong. At least the day I was there, if you haven't been here yet definitely check it out.

It was a beach. Our travel agent set us up to spend the day here. We found our way thanks to (partially) and in spite of (Partially) our GPS. The block heading up to the entrance had some funky shops, a few sodas, souvenirs, and parking. A man as we entered said the parking was full and wanted us to... More

Parque Nacional Marino Ballena in Uvita is an awesome place. It looks like something out of a postcard, and you can walk out to the Whale Tale at low tide.

Quiet but not deserted you usually can find some surfers here. It is one of the better spots for surfing, and the popular flutterby hostel is near buy.

We were there in March. Weather was beautiful but the beach itself was a bit of a let down; perhaps our expectations were too high? Parking wasn't a problem. We paid at a little lot on the street that dead ends at the entrance to the park and Playa Uvita. There are public bathrooms/change rooms near here that are pretty... More
