Had been to this lookout point in Mahabaleshwar a long back ago. This point is considered as Queen of all points.

This point is located 12 kms away from Mahabaleshwar. It was named after Sir Arthur Mallet who lost his wife & daughter in a ferry mishap on the river Savitri. This point is a popular tourist attraction and is visited by tourists. It is known for flying of light objects that rises due to air pressure. There is a view point with railings for tourists to get a breathtaking view of the surrounding area. Near this point, there is a man who allows tourists to view the Pratapgad Fort through a telescope for a fee. However, had got a glimpse of the fort as well as a statue of the Maratha king Shivaji. It is a good place for photography.

Beware of monkeys roaming around in the vicinity. There are stalls selling corn on the cob, kanda bhaji etc. However, the prices of the snacks are on a higher side as this area is a tourist spot. Had got a breathtaking view of the surrounding area and posed for a photograph as a school going child.

This point is an ideal place for families, couples, nature lovers, photography enthusiasts as well as friends. It is a must visit and should not be missed when in Mahabaleshwar.

Of all the "points" in Mahabaleshwar this is really worth the hype. Amazing panoramic views of the hills and the valley from the lookout point. A word of caution is that it gets insanlely crowded during the weekends.. best is to come here early morning in a weekday

Fascinating view of mighty Mountains & savitri river from this point. Arthur's Seat is famous for floating of light objects. If you throw light things like small tree branch in the valley, it comes up again due to air pressure.

Short walk to the viewpoint, the views of the valley and the river below is scenic. Lots of vendors selling fruits, snacks on the walk to the viewpoint, not very serene. Go early in the morning to avoid crowds and parking hassles.

One of the many points in Mahabaleshwar. Visit this point to get nice view of mountains. One crosses 4-5 different view points before reaching the seat. We visited in afternoon. It was hot and sun was blazing. I feel, duirng an overcast day, views would be more beautiful.

While climbing up, use the shortcut stairways. This will directly lead you to the road.

Many stalls are located on the way. Be aware of the monkeys.

This is one of the strategic points from where one can have a nice view of the valley and the flowing river below. There are a series of viewpoints on the way to Arthur's seat. The place gets crowded during the tourist season and the traffic jams are a norm here. Views are totally different during monsoon and non-monsoon periods.

Arthur seat is named after Sir Arthur. It has so many view points. Awesome views of Sahyadri Hills and Savitri river valley can be seen from here. It has several spots like Tiger's spring, Window point etc. You will get closer to Mother Nature's here. The place is awesome place for Nature lovers.

The point offers a good view of the mountains and valley. Also the shops around serves hot & tasty snacks.but the place is too crowded and the parking is a mess with nobody to monitor it. I got stuck on a Saturday morning for 1 hour all due to mismanagement of car parkings.

If you are a lazy bum and spending time at your hotel and would just like to see one point - this surely is the one.

The drive to this place (around Sunset) is amazing with amazing views enroute as well as a bump-free ride as the roads are new (as on April 2015). About 15 km from the main city this point has a lot to offer - peace, tranquility, self-reflection and scenic photography.

It has several points within this point but Arthur's seat is the most amazing one. Be prepared to climb down and up several feet from the car parking. Also beware of monkeys that will snatch away anything remotely looking as food / packaged food / cold drinks etc. If you happen to encounter such situation just throw the packet away from you.

If you have elderly people in your group they can rest near the restaurants at the parking.
