If you are traveling to Mahabaleshwar with kids who will easily get bored of the hill views .. you can bring them here so that they can have some fun. some rides .. they can easily spend 1-2 hours here... its cheap but rides etc are just about average especially the way its kept.

A small amusement park, having about 13 rides in all, looks completely out of place in a nature's paradise. There you are, just cruising across the winding hilly road, and suddenly a garishly painted park hits your senses.

We did go inside. The entry per head is 50 Rs. if you don't want to buy the rides package. The rides package is Rs. 400 per head and includes 8 rides. There also is a food court and a haunted house on the premises.

When we entered the place, there were hardly any people inside. Kids took the rides quickly and almost in all the rides they were alone. Speak of personalised service. Did not try the food at all.

Final verdict..? Can be avoided, if you do not have small children.

I'm not sure why the place is called On Wheelz because not every ride had wheels, but this amusement park makes for a pleasant evening. We were also impressed by the offer of riding some selected rides for an unlimited number of times for INR 400. The eligible rides weren't bad at all.

For people like me who are afraid of the rush that amusement park rides give you, On Wheelz was soothing. The rides were not too edgy and did not make you panic. People who want great thrills out of their rides - this is going to seem tame for you.

All rides afforded a breathtaking view of the surrounding hillside - if you can keep your eyes open! The usual rides were all there - the merry-go-round, the roller coaster, the monorail, electric cars, the rainbow, and so on.

The roller coaster, while making your heart leap into your mouth due to its (very!) steep drop, seemed a little risky. There were no safety belts and the supporting scaffold trembled as the roller coaster moved.

The monorail was an example of how something so slow and soothing could still give you little scares. The snaky path of the monorail made you feel like you could fall right off the coach. But, the view is indescribable - especially if you happen to be in the coach around sunset.

An added attraction of the place was the cricket net. For INR 100, you can show off your batting skills by hitting 18 tennis balls. I enthusiastically tried it, too - and was bowled out more times than I actually hit the ball.

The ladies' washroom was relatively clean, with running water available. There was a canteen as well, selling the usual fare of snacks and beverages. Covered seating area was thoughtfully provided.

Some empty cemented space behind the canteen with iron benches, apparently a cliff edge, caught our attention. Standing on the benches (we're not sure we did the right thing!) gave us a far-reaching view of the rolling hills at dusk. We watched until the sun - an orange ball of fire - dipped beneath the horizon.

There were several other amusements at the park that were not operational. It appeared that there were some water rides, too but no water. Sadly, this park did not have a go karting track - that would have been good.

Nevertheless, On Wheelz (in Panchgani) is a good place to spend some time with friends and family once you've visited the other spots in Mahabaleshwar.

On wheelz is one of the few well maintained amusement parks i have seen in and around pune / mumbai.

It is the best options in panchgani / mahabaleshwar, kid's & equally the parents can enjoy
the place.

The quality of rides is nice, you don't see any chipping or badly kept stuff.
the food court also serves quality food.
Overall a must go when in mahabaleshwar / panchgani

the ticket options are
1. Rs 250 unlimited rides for kids
2. Rs 350 unlimited rides for adults

or alternatively Rs 50 / ride in case you don't go for the unlimited option.
There are few rides which are not covered in the unlimited ticket
( space simulator , cricket etc )

I had visited Adlabs Imagica couple of weeks back, and most of the rides are not kid friendly. The speed and thrill is too much to handle. besides its too costly and crowded. Though some rides there are really of international standards and quality and cannot be compared elsewhere.
Having said that 'On Wheelz' in Panchgani is smaller in scale, but really good to try it out. First the charges are really cheap. For Adults its 400rs and for kids its 300rs, unlimited rides. All the rides and enjoyable as the speed of them is enjoyable and not scary. Rides for kids are equally good and safe. If you kid is around 9-10yrs old, i would suggest to get him Adult ticket. It is 100rs more, but he/she can enjoy all the rides that are for adults.
I didn't see any flaw and all rides we really enjoyed.

Not much variety in food department though.

If you want to have a touch of adventour in your panchgani/mahabaleshwar stay, then surely go for it, you won't be disappointed.

A nice place for kids. My cousin had loads of fun here. Elders can roam around but its absolute delight to see the smile on faces of so many children. Its nice.

Aren't there better amusement park in Mumbai? To this my son retorted Dad when did we last go to an amusement park together? Realising my mistake we entered On Wheelz. They have a childs unlimited rides package for Rs 300 which is good VFM. My son freaked out on all the rides and I too enjoyed some of them. The inhouse restaurant also has a children centric menu.Seeing the happiness of my son I realised that children should also have an say in deciding the itinerary. In all a good place to visit for those on a more than 3 days tour.

This is a must visit place. Our kids just loved it and so did we. Each ride is worth a visit. as we were there on a weekday, the park was virtually for our private use :) . Downside, nothing in their cafeteria to eat :(

We visited on a weekday during Diwali and as expected didn't find a lot of crowd. So, we could take most of the rides without queues, on some rides, we were the only ones. However, on a crowded day, the place might feel a bit cramped. They have a system of adult and child passes (which offer all of the respective rides unlimited number of times). A few of the rides are separately charged always and not part of the passes. There are separate tickets for entry itself apart from passes.

All adult rides that are part of the pass, except for the "Octopus", weren't that thrilling. Even the one which is supposed to give you a free fall is a let down, since the speed of the fall is highly throttled and for a very short distance. And this is true for most adult rides, where the speed is not good enough to give you a high. There's a roller coaster, which was a bit cramped (if you lifted your hands they might bang against the tracks on top) where one of the fall might loose you a heartbeat.

Separately charged activities (Rs 50 each) like reverse bungee jumping and net cricket are interesting and worth the money.

The kids rides are good, especially the dashing car.

Overall its a worthwhile package for kids but not for adults, adults should just choose specific rides and pay for them rather than take an adult pass. One can easily spend 3-4 hours.

We didn't try the food court, which offered pizzas, sandwiches and drinks.
