A very nice spot to enjoy the setting sun as it sets in the midst of the mountains - can get crowded though, which is a shame.

sunset point is quite dirty with lot of people cooking and barbequing illegally. could have been better. Also the trees have over grown and hence blocked the view

The spot is also known as Bombay Point. It is believed that you can detect Mumbai skylines from here on a clear day. Very crowded place even during the lean season, bit away from the city centre. Lots of horses for rides ( though little costly) at this place. Sunsets are BEAUTIFUL here.

The place has a large open space with a bandstand. It is an ideal place for late afternoon picnic. The Mumbai Point is the place from where people can view the sunset over the valleys below at Mahabaleshwar. The view of sunset is very amazing. It is a clear view of sunset in the valley... Nice experience..

The view was mediocre the day we visited with haze and trees obscuring sites in the distance. Large crowds and lots of tourist vendors means that there isnt a peaceful place to enjoy.

Being from Mumbai, we had to check this place out.Do note this attraction is on the other side of Mahabaleshwar and you need to be familiar with the roads to reach here.Unfortunately, we lost our way and reached here later in evening, as we were further delayed for a tea-break, thus missing the sunset. This point was fairly ok as... More

We reached there around 5 pm and its was about an hour to go for sunset. Meanwhile we enjoyed the area, clicking pictures around. There are plenty of stone seats in a well planned manner that person seat on those seat can view sunset from their angle. Lots of greenery around. From there, you can also see at far the... More

This is a decent place to watch the sun go down though there are other convenient points providing a good view as well. Located on the other side of Mahabaleshwar, one needs to have transport to reach/ return from the point to your hotel. Can be bit tricky walking back after sunset.
