SUNRISE POINT a vast undulating open rocky plateau -A rare view of the rising Sun, promises a wonderful day ahead. Highest point of Mahabaleshwar named after Governor - Sir Leslie Wilson - opened in the year 1928. It is 1 km away from city.

Best place to be in for a morning walk. Fill your lungs with fresh air and have taste of cool breeze . There is a facility to take cars to the point but as per me this will spoil the place.

We reached this place around 5.30-6 am to view the sunrise. There is a round shaped rooftop place which is always crowded. But you can enjoy the sunrise anyhow from the land as well.
