Wilson point is the highest point in Mahabaleshwar and most famous for sun rise/ sun set viewing, It was originally named Sindola Hill, but we were told that the name Wilson Point caught on as Sir Leslie Wilson, Governor of Bombay used to come to this point and he really liked visiting it! The walk to the point is beautiful... More

Wilson point is the highest point in Mahabaleshwar. It's the prefered place to visit for viewing the Sun rise in the mornings as well as sun set. One gets a good view of the town in all directions. The approach to the place is a narrow road and hence best discovered walking

We decided to visit the place on a weekday in spite of some haze. There are two approaches and I would suggest taking Google maps. The entry road is a strict one lane road and is in the worst condition possible. In case any car from other end enters it's practically impossible to manoeuvre the car. The exit road is... More

Highest point of Mahabaleshwar. An all round view of all major points can be seen from here. Table top with scattered rocks make it a unique point. After rainy season a all-round view of lush greenery can be enjoyed.

This is the highest point in Mahabaleshwar and is named after Sir Leslie Wilson, erstwhile Governor of Bombay. Also known as Sindola Hill, Wilson Point is the only location in Mahabaleshwar where both sunrise and sunset can be seen. It offers a spectacular view of Mahabaleshwar in all directions. Its a great walk to Wilson Point and believe me, my... More

A huge open space on top of the hilly area. Two raised circular structures provide excellent position for great photographic shots.

Wilson point, popularly known as the Sun rise point, is a nice place giving you a great view of the horizon . Can be reached after walking through lush green surroundings. The view of the sun rise was enjoyable and worth the trouble coming here early. All in all a perfect start to the day in this hill station

Wilson point , close to Le Meridian was a great walk early in the morning , in the monsoon season . Full of mist and cloudy sky , however did not see the sunrise or sun while there .
