Coming during a working week, there were few people at the lake side. We enjoyed in the sitting area gazing around since we weren't keen on the boating rides on offer. A nearby area had a small track where we had a horse ride too....More
Man made lake situated close to the Mahabaleshwar market. One of the must visit places.
You can enjoy the boat riding here - row boats and horse rides but the place is too crowded in the evenings during season time (monsoon & Sep-Oct)

Yes you can get parking space. However you need to find out proper place.
If you go from 1st Jan to 1 March rush will be low as compare to rest of days of year.

Hi, With a limited time at your disposal, the itinerary seem okay. Ideally, one needs at least 2 complete days at Panchgani/Mahabaleshwar to visit important landmarks. CarLink

The itinerary seems to be quite good. A few suggestions would be: 1. There are not as many places to see in lonavla as in matheran. Hence you can spend more time in Matheran by going from Pune to Matheran and maybe spending a day at Matheran. 2. Bhandardara being out of this cluster of Mahabaleshwar, Matheran, Lonavla, can be dropped. In this way you can enjoy the rest of the three places without being exerted :) Hope this helps!
