Great views
Dec 2019
Well for the best views you have to visit this in the monsoons or in October .. before fall. Great views of nearby hills and the valleys and the river.. there are stairs to the lookout point which can be slippery in the rain. Again, if there are too many clouds.. you wont see a thing. Mornings are the best as clouds are less and visibility is great.

It was cloudy when when we reached Castle Rock point and it truly was surreal when we reached there. The views were breathtaking very less crowd around. We had great time at the point!

Could have been world class BUT it's Polluted
Mar 2019 • Couples
The Castle Rock Point, Savitri Point, Echo and Hunting Point are all close to each other. Kudos to the management to build steps and try and upkeep the location. BUT unfortunately, you just need to look behind a rock or just below to see where all the garbage goes. Littered. Filthy. And no dustbins around either. The view is barely visible due to the Great Indian Smog and our countrys pollution woes. Could have been world class BUT we Indians do love to destroy our own homes!

Looks like a castle rock, hence its name

Castle Rock Point is a mountaintop destination offering panoramic views of the surrounding valley and peaks. The viewing point lies on the road to Arthur's Seat point from the Mahabaleshwar Main Market.

The Castle Rock Point in Mahabaleshwar
Nov 2018 • Couples
This is another viewing point in Mahabaleshwar from where one can get some amazing views of the Western Ghats. Castle Rock Point is located about 5 km from the Mahabaleshwar Main Market and a little away from Arthur's Seat Point and Elphinstone Point.

Savitri point/castle rock point
Aug 2018 • Family
Savitri point, castkerock point are same. Its on the way to arthur seat. I found monsoon to be the best season to visit. We had to form human chain while climbing diwn as the gush of air wws tremendous. Its one of the best point to see savitri river, though in monsoon you rarely get a glimpse as its all foggy everywhere.
