- GovindswPune, India15 contributionsBaga Beach - FunI visited Goa with my friends and we stayed at a hotel very near to Baga beach. This beach attracts hordes of tourists, and as we arrived, we immediately felt the electrifying atmosphere in the air. Baga Beach offers the perfect balance of relaxation and entertainment, with its golden sands and perfectly safe swimming waters. We indulged in thrilling water sports during the day, from parasailing to jet-skiing. The rates are negotiable so you have to bargain. As the sun set, the beach transformed into a hub of nightlife. Lined with charming shacks, it was the ideal spot to savor delicious seafood and dance the night away. Baga Beach truly captures the essence of Goa's vibrant spirit.Visited May 2023Traveled with friendsWritten October 3, 2023
- Mandy J4 contributionsChilledWe went to baga beach as they have shacks there and at candolim where we are based they are in the process of reconstructing the shacks after the monsoon. We sat and ate at Emmanuel's. Food is excellent. I recommend the aloo muttar...but everything we ate over two days was fantastic. The only thing that worries me is the amount of plastic and rubbish on the beach. I don't know if the Indians are knowledgeable about the dangers of plastic 🤷,but a few dustbins wouldn't go amiss.. .I did see some attempts to clean up as the sun began to set . Overall a lovely beach..Visited November 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten November 2, 2023
- Suddhasattwa MKolkata (Calcutta), India628 contributionsVisit to Baga beach.Went to Baga Beach in the afternoon. It was crowded with tourist. Quite a few shops are there where one can enjoy the sunset with a bottle of bear. When I was there, a group of fisherman had come with their fresh catch. If one desires, he/she can buy some and get it cooked at the shops on the beach.Visited December 2023Traveled soloWritten December 15, 2023
- Piotr S10 contributionsDirty overprices place not for EU touristsDefinitely not for foreignEU tourists. The place full of local Indian crowd, the beach dirty, only one night club with nice dance vibe. Average food in beach bars. Low quality hotels overpriced as of Indian conditions, no real attractions closeby. Some pluses: free beds offered by beach bars, locals very friendly and helpful, Fancy sunsets over the ocranVisited December 2023Traveled soloWritten December 28, 2023
- Asish_N_SThiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum), India28 contributionsA good place to spend some time.If you have children then you have to keep an eye out for cow's and dog's. They don't seem to intentionally hurt people but they are animals. Crowded, obviously. You can have drinks in the beach hotels. and the facility for dress change is available out side the main gate, a bit over priced. There are a lots of shops near by for casual purchases.Visited December 2023Traveled with familyWritten January 15, 2024
- Avilash SinghNew Delhi, India8 contributionsAn evening at Baga BeachTo enjoy Baga Beach in Goa with friends, you should block your evening. Baga Beach has the vibe of loud music (Hindi and Punjabi mostly), drinks and relaxation. I went there in two evenings to enjoy the shack and relax when the table was close to the water. The breeze was amazing and the food was best. I was with one of my friends who had never been to Goa before, however, this was my 5th time going to Goa. I convinced my friend to go and relax rather than ticking all the famous spots. Hence, I was aware that the best location to relax (drinks and food) and good vibe is Baga Beach. I recently got interested in staying in hostels so I booked 2 beds in a 4-bed room in a hostel near Candolim. We reached the hostel around 2 PM, dropped our bags and then left to rent a Scooty. We straight headed towards Baga Beach and enjoyed the sunset first. Just before it got dark, we decided to sit in front of the shack and spent 5-6 hrs there. We ordered starter food and drinks, and after some time ordered Hookah as well. We both are not addicted to drink and smoking, but Socially and especially Baga Beach at Goa was giving us the vibe to do so. Small vendors coming by, and tourist people were crossing in front of us all the time which made me a little uncomfortable. However, all the shacks were the same so it was normal and people who were walking were also normal including some kids. The name of the shack was something "Paradise", not so classy but the service of food and drinks was good. If you went there and could not find a spot to sit, you can give a try to them. That's all in the blog if you have any questions or looking for some suggestions. I am happy to answer.Visited September 2023Traveled with friendsWritten January 22, 2024
- Nabin kafleKathmandu, Nepal7 contributionsThe unforgettable party with music and natureThe place was much more fun than we had expected. The blue ocean and sandy beach illuminated by the sun sparkled crystal and gold. The evenings are full of beach parties with loud music and so much to explore with every kind of people but still be careful of cows and dogs while enjoying the beach parties and companies of your friend. hoping to do this again sometime soon. I recommend you visit.Visited October 2023Traveled with friendsWritten January 22, 2024
- RahulMKBengaluru, India106 contributionsAmazing experienceAmazing spot for water sports. We had a world of fun visiting Baga beach. there were many agents, you can go ahead and book with anyone of them. Ensure you take all the rides, everything was awesome. We were apprehensive considering the heat, but a boat load of sunscreen and few initial dips in the sea helped us have a wonderful time. one important point to note, for each ride there is an extra option, this will cost you more. But it kind of enhances your experience, so it is totally worth it. eg: if you go para sailing, then you can take an option for more time flying and to get dipped in the sea.Visited February 2024Traveled with familyWritten February 17, 2024

I went to Baga with great expectations and my memories of 2014 visit to this place. In 2014 this place was awesome despite being very commercial. It had a great deal of charm. If I had rated Baga after my 2014 visit then I would have given it a good 5 stars full.
Alas my last visit here in March 2019 was a terrible experience. People from all parts of the world had gathered. It was bad. The crowd had some really rowdy folks who think they are cool if they are in a big group. Lot of eve teasing and terrible behavior by some people.
Food joints are overpriced and so are the water sports activities. There are limitations to how deep you can enter the water and a lot of littering of plastic and bottles and other stuff. I seriously felt like I should have never visited the beach and should have just cherished the memories of the previous visit all life.
Big time that visitors understand the importance of keeping the beach and its vicinity clean. I think government should charge people for entering the beach and imply heavy fines on littering. Let everyone understand the value of these tourist-friendly places as soon as possible.

Crowded beach with all the usual expensive experiences... The exorbitant seafood restaurant, the exorbitant and hyped seafood restaurant, pricey water activities, overpriced beach shacks, boundless overflowing crowd. You'll be better off visiting the south goa beaches for some space, serenity and exotic holiday

On 22nd Dec'19 evening, myself with my hubby got to visit Baga Beach. It is one of the most popular beaches in North Goa.
Baga is the perfect destination for those who wish to witness the excellent nightlife of Goa as signature places such as Britto's, Tito's and Mambos have made their mark in their hearts of party-goers. The shacks also come to life in the late evening with some pumping music and mouthwatering food.

This is in North Goa . Large shore line . Golden sand beach . Lots of water sports facilities available. Parking is available . too many beach side restaurants provides tasty sea food bit costly though. However too much crowded. Lots of reclining chair with large umbrella . one can seat and enjoy . cost is 100 INR per hour . change room / place might be there , I did not find any . Beach patrolling is there . Dolphin cruise boat also leaves from here.

Baga Beach is one of the most popular breaches in Goa, be it day time or night, it is always crowded. The long beach with numerous numbers of shacks at beach, makes it most frequented beach. Spotted several tourists enjoying sea bath. One can hire a reclining chair with umbrella and enjoy the sea view and food. The night scene was very noisy due to loud DJ music being played by the shacks for guests to drink and dance. Spotted numerous empty bottles thrown on the beach, a big eyesore, and that made the beach dirty too. While enjoying night view, we had our evening snacks with chicken chill dry and chicken steak at one of the Shacks. To summarize, most frequented and noisy beach

GOA is nice place to visit but its not worth to go. As local people are really bad with tourist. Tourists hire vehicle over there and local people drove very rash on the roads they will hit tourist car then will fight with you asking for money. They tourist will not fight over there and tourist need to pay money to them and then needs to pay damage to the vehicle owner also from whom they have hired the vehicle. Behaviors of local people is really bad their language and all they are always ready to fight with the tourists. Even on water sports also they treat you like anything as you have already paid for the sports in advance.
Overall I would say i will never visit this place again in my life.

July is the monsoon time when water activities do not take place at this beach. Maybe this is why it just seemed like a regular beach. The restaurants were still open & staff were reaching out to the visitors to dine at their restaurant. There were lot of people but it wasn't as crowded.

It’s beyond doubt, that no one can control onself from giving a 5 star ranking to the Baga beach. It’s one the cleanest beaches I have seen. It was post lock down and we were a bit apprehensive in visiting the area.. but you know, unless you visit Baga , your north Goa trip is not complete. The sharks have started to open and the crowd is gradually at a rise. It feels like heaven when you dip your feet in the cool and soothing sea water.....Try to use mask , as most of the people are not using it.... as in the Covid era, safety and hygiene are a must !!!

Very busy beach that draws a huge population of locals and tourist, but you cannot relax for being hassled, whether it’s to buy items at the shops, or to pay for a sun bed.
Beach seemed averagely clean, on a busy day but locals didn’t necessarily respect the use of bins for litter.
There was a lifeguard on watch and seemed to be on-point whistling at folks constantly to behave!
Overall, a quite typical ‘hot spot’ beach which is quite crowded, overrun sales pitchers and not really a place to relax, although I’m sure a decent option for a few drinks and a party!

Very Noisy. Loud Music. Day time till 7pm is extremely hot. After 7pm, you cannot view Ocean waves. However, I donot the beach because of noise and loud music.

I have planned to travel to goa from Mumbai on 11 the night by train. And planning to stay there upto 16 th . Is it safe to visit at present rainy season during my stay.
Written August 8, 2019
I came back from Goa yesterday.
Last week, it rained almost all day. We did not have 1 complete hr when it did not rain. So, if you are visiting next week (and after seeing the weather forecast which is more or less same as compared to previous week)- do keep a nice raincoat and umbrella with you (in Goa, you can get cheap raincoats but those are not good).
Plus, in goa there is a cab strike going on so you may not find cab to travel. There are some govt. approved taxi service which is available via “Goa miles” only and it is difficult to get cab due to high requests. For tour-You can rent a car if you know how to drive. Avoid renting a scooty or bike due to showers.
We couldn’t enjoy full due to rain; other than that, Goa is lush green these days.

Try Indian summer. It’s a permanent beach shack as it’s set further back from the rest. Go to the bottom of CSM Road and follow the signs this will take you to the back of the beach shack. One of the best shacks I’ve been to the food is fantastic and the toilets are amazing.

We were there in April and there was para sailing, jet ski speed boats, banana boat, those were all at Baga beach. Visited other beaches nearby and pretty much the same. You can also snorkel and scuba dive from some.

Since its your honeymoon, would suggest to have good beach resort in North Goa. Taj has a very good property near Agouda Fort. Vagator beach also have couple of plush resorts. Try visting Baga beach for best soothing experience and Calungute for shopping.

Last time I went there was as good as nothing. Also the tourist season has to do with the monsoons/sea condition. So I'll not be personally too keen on that. Otherwise - I like the place all through the year.
