A quiet place to escape.

I visit Deyang for work on a regular basis and find the temple (Wen Miao) a great place to wander around or sit down for a bit of peace and quiet.
The recently opened new "old street" in Deyang runs along the east boundary of the temple and it's worth getting a snack and hiding away in the temple grounds.
Due to the increased pedestrian traffic, on some days you may find the main temple building fence closed, but the rest of the grounds is free to roam.
There are a few places to sit in the shade and grab a mug of green tee under the trees.
It is a living temple and, if lucky, you may come across celebrations and rituals.

Peaceful hearth of a vibrant city

The confucian temple is definitely worth a visit.
Just cross the majestic gate and in one step you enter in a quiet and peaceful lost world. A cafe' restaurant is present on a corner, so one can also enjoy some tea under the trees.

The small (but cute) deyang museum is 5 meters away from the north wall of the temple. Also worth a visit.
