The people there are amazing: I rarely met a place with such good vibes. Vale do Capo is the best place for trips and to experience the whole special atmosphere of Chapada Diamantina.

If you love nature and want to see a special place, Chapada Diamantina is for you. Cascades, caves, animals, different trees and an amazing view from the top of Pai Inacio montain. A place to remember.

Nice hike. Not hard, you walk just 4 hours a day except the last day. That day is 6 hours. Track can vary due of the weather. Nice nature: from dry and low vegetation to cloud forest in the valley. Nice viewing points and awesome waterfalls.

Experiences are both inside and outside the park including cave experiences, walking and swimming, waterfalls and wonderful hiking. Park is relatively under developed and a guide is requisite to assuring a good experience.

If you book a guide for a trekking just don't go with a guy named João Paolo. He is an unmotivated liar who only does this for the money. Our 3 day trekking tour was a rip off, we were 8 people and he gave us food for 4, he just walked through rivers not even trying to help us... More

We did a beautiful three day trek through Vale do Paty with our guide Washington. During the trek we had a perfect mix of great views, amazing waterfalls, natural swimming pools and exhausting hikes. Make sure to go to Viela Hostel and ask for Washington, because he is friends with the owner. He offers a very good price (R$200 per... More

We travelled to Brazil and spent four days hiking and trekking in Chapada Diamantina. We had a fabulous guide who took us to waterfalls, caves, natural water slides and more waterfalls. The lack of commercialism in the park was a refreshing change from the typical US and European tourist spots. We've been to the coast of Ireland, Jungfrau Region of... More
