This is by far the most beautiful and unique region of Brazil! Places you never even dreamed of exist here! Trekking, waterfalls, caves, mountains, rivers, so much untouched nature! This place is breathtaking! The national park is a huge area, with has approximately15,000 sq mi and encompasses 58 municipalities. For this reason, stay for at least one week to get... More

If you book a guide for a trekking just don't go with a guy named João Paolo. He is an unmotivated liar who only does this for the money. Our 3 day trekking tour was a rip off, we were 8 people and he gave us food for 4, he just walked through rivers not even trying to help us... More

We did a beautiful three day trek through Vale do Paty with our guide Washington. During the trek we had a perfect mix of great views, amazing waterfalls, natural swimming pools and exhausting hikes. Make sure to go to Viela Hostel and ask for Washington, because he is friends with the owner. He offers a very good price (R$200 per... More

We travelled to Brazil and spent four days hiking and trekking in Chapada Diamantina. We had a fabulous guide who took us to waterfalls, caves, natural water slides and more waterfalls. The lack of commercialism in the park was a refreshing change from the typical US and European tourist spots. We've been to the coast of Ireland, Jungfrau Region of... More

We spent unforgettable 3 days exploring many of the natural beauties of Chapada Diamantina. We climbed Morro Pai Ignacio for a magnificent sunset with views of the valleys, snorkeled in Gruta da Pratinha and Gruta Azul, visited Gruta da Lapa Doce and hiked to Poco do Diabo and Cachoeira do Roncador. We also went on a canoe trip paddling to... More

We spent a truly magnificent 5 days exploring Chapada Diamantina. it is truly breath-taking! We climbed Morro Pai Ignacio just before sunset one day and had some spectacular views!! Went on a mini Pantanal tour to Marimbas which was totally worth it. Visited Gruta Lapa Doce, and had a wonderful tour guide. Awe-inspiring cave with increduble formations. Pratinha and Gruta... I first visited the Chapada Diamantina in 2009, during a three-week trip to Salvador to see my nephew. It was during São João and Salvador was so noisy I needed a break. My nephew suggested Lençóis, and so started my love affair with the Chapada Diamantina. I had lived in Southern Africa as a child, and it almost felt as... More

We did the Roteiro 1 (Route 1) with company Diamantina Trip. You visit 2 waterfalls, 1 cave, and one mountain for sunset. It is amazing. Then we did 3 days of unguided tours from Lencois. Together this is a great balance to see nature, have adventure, and save money.
