About
Named for the solitary majestic old growth pine of their Oliver estate, Le Vieux Pin sits perched amidst the famed vineyards of the Black Sage Bench: Canada's sole pocket desert, located in the South of British Columbia's Okanagan Valley. Since releasing their first vintage in 2005, Le Vieux Pin has captured the essence of traditional French winemaking, along with the bold New World character distinct to the region. Considered by the national wine industry to be a leading Syrah producer, the winery uses low input viticulture and non-interventionist winemaking to make exclusive vintages that carry with them a sense of time and place. These fine wines can be savoured nationwide and internationally, at select culinary hot spots, and fine wine merchants. The pine tree stands alone. Come visit us, our Tasting Room is open By Appointment Friday / Saturday April - Jun 30: 11am-5pm. July 1 - Aug 31: 10am-5:30pm. Sept 1 -Oct 31: 11am- 5pm. Our Wine Shop is open 5 days a week April to October.

Alex was fantastic. His knowledge about the wine, the history of the winery and his hospitality was fantastic. We purchased all the Syrahs we tasted. My husband and I are still thinking about joining their Wine Club

Spent a most enjoyable hour visiting Le Vieux Pin Winery tasting their wonderful Syrah wine offerings as well as their "Ava" white. Our thanks to Alex for his hospitality and explanation of their wine making process. We had a great experience.

One of the best wineries in the Okanagan. Beautiful venue and exceptional wine. A must stop for any wine touring on the Black Sage Bench. The Côte Rôtie of BC!

Our wine tasting took place in the large room where the huge fermentation tanks sat. Alex was an incredible wealth of knowledge about the wines we tasted and the production and operation of the winery. We so enjoyed his passion for the wine and the terroir. This winery was the highlight of a year! You must make a reservation to taste at this winery!
I was so impressed with this winery and their product I joined the wine club (I have not joined any others )

Visited the Okanagan valley for the first time this summer and just had to book a wine tasting tour. With so many wineries to choose from, we relied on family and friends to narrow it down. Le Vieux Pin (and La Stella) were without a doubt our top 2. The wine tasting and private tour of their beautiful settings with Alex did not compare to anything experienced at other wineries. Not only did we sample world class wines but we also learned so much about the art of fine wine making. Make sure to book your tasting in advance, it is well worth the visit.

As someone slightly obsessed with wine, wine making, wine tasting, wine regions, and pretty much all things wine-this winery has been on my list to visit for several years.
The talentend wine maker Severine Pinte comes from France and has a special interest in Rhone grapes like Viognier and Syrah. Two of my favorites. Her philosophy of no pesticides or herbicides is admirable. I grow some fruit trees ( including grapes) and find it so challenging on a small scale to keep diseases away, I cannot fathom the challenge on a big scale. Her talents are undeniable and widely acknowledged.
The winery was closed the Monday I had targeted my visit, but very fortunately my brother found a lovely intern on property who very kindly offered to ask if I could buy some wine. Michelle ( the secretary on property) was super gracious and accommodating and helped me purchase several bottles, some home made mustard and join their wine club! I left incredibly happy!

We had the chance to have a private tasting with Alexander on August 2nd. It lasted more than an hour with detailed explanations of the grapes, the wine and the installation.
The wines were really good, I especially liked the "Point de Vue", which is a syrah.

We spent a week doing wine tastings, some at wineries we knew well and others we didn't know at all. This was one of the latter. We booked a tasting and spent a wonderful hour with a lady (Marie, if memory serves) who really knew the wines and was very passionate about them. We sampled several wines and came away with more bottles than we were intending to buy! A fabulous winery and a great tasting experience.

Great tasting experience, the appointments are spaced out well so the host/hostess can spend a lot of time explaining the wine and the vineyard. The Vaila rose is really good, and the Syrah is great. Definitely recommend stopping in for a tasting.
