Pity about the fly in the lens for the hour we were there and then the person trying to kill it, spoiled the movie

Great cinema trip

Went to the kids club this morning. Read some poor reviews regarding staff beforehand and weren't too sure. Had a great experience. Served by a lovely girl for snacks who was really helpful. Had also bought tickets online beforehand. Everything went very smoothly, cinema was clean and comfortable. Kids club was great value, prices were £3 per ticket and kids meal deal with popcorn, sweets and a drink was £3.70. Would definitely go again.

Awful experience
Aug 2020 • Couples
Went to see Tenet with my partner on 31/8/20, it was the Maxx screen at 16:20, around the one hour mark the screen went blank with no sound and everyone in the screening (socially distanced) was left wondering what was going on.....
Took three different people to alert staff and after sitting in darkness for nearly ten minute the lights went up and a young guy appeared with no mask on shouting that we can have a refund and its on a smaller screen if you want to see the rest of the movie. This screen was tiny, warm not to mention a fire exit light which illuminates the bottom left of the screen!
Omniplex Antrim should be your last resort for a movie with unfriendly staff with zero people skills who clearly don't want to be there just adding to that particular outing.
AVOID.

Don't expect to get the seat you booked.
May 2019 • Family
Booked online, as I prefer to know my seat. F10,11,12,13. Great family all together as I have a 4,6 and 9 year old. Arrived at cinema. Got popcorn, but when arriving at our seats they were taken. Asked the people to move to which I was told that they had the same problem. The seats they booked were taken. Looked around and no staff available and couldn't leave my kids. Sat in the nearest available seats when I was then approached by a couple with kids that I was in their booked seats. Staff member approached me and I explained the situation, but they did not correct the situation. Complete joke. What's the point of booking ahead if people are allowed to sit were they want and the staff doesn't shift them. Really disappointed. Not to mention that I felt bad for the family who had to sit in the front row cause that was the only available seats.

They all clearly hate their jobs
Mar 2019 • Couples
Came for a secret screening (usually visit Dundonald but as there was only front row seats we booked Antrim instead) 6.30 show on Monday 25th - girl behind the counter was abrupt and rude, had to call her back twice as she kept going to leave when we still had snacks to order. She spent more time ignoring us and chatting with the guy working beside her. The girl checking the tickets didn’t crack a smile. All 4 of us were left walking to the screen commenting on how they all clearly hate their jobs. Don’t enjoy working with the public...change jobs. This place needs a revamp. Dirty, grubby seats. I also managed to catch myself on a piece of metal sticking out of my chairs armrest. Toilets clearly not checked as 4 stalls had no toilet roll in them. Will definitely stick to Dundonald!

Cheeky and Rude
Sep 2018 • Friends
Me (nearing 40) and my mother (just over 70) went here to see the film The Nun and to our surprise we were both asked for ID! When I thought the girl on the till was joking she made clear we wouldn’t be sold tickets unless we both produced ID and that my mothers grey hair could be from a bottle. We ended up doing that and then the girl started claiming my mothers senior bus pass wasn’t good enough so we were refused entry so I am disgusted at this cinema and will be complaining to the head office about this distreatment.

Christopher Robin
Sep 2018 • Friends
Me and a work colleague came here to see the film Christopher Robin and the cheek we received from your cinema staff member was totally unacceptable. We were both asked if we weren’t too old to see this film like I thought Disney was for everyone! When we noted of our offence the staff member just laughed at us and refused our request of speaking to a manager. No wonder this cinema is rarely busy!

This cinema is in major need of a revamp. The staff here don’t have much friendliness about them. The ice cream served here was lumpy, gooey and sticky and didn’t even taste right. The toilets were horrid where even the urinals had brown stains. The screen we were in was filthy with dirt stains on the seats and some of the cup holders I noticed hadn’t even been cleaned out. Don’t intend on returning to this cinema.

A good cinema
May 2018 • Friends
A good local cinema with comfortable seats and well placed so you don't get your view blocked. We booked online which was nice and simple and made getting in very quick and easy. We even saved 10% by doing it online which was even better will go again
